I. Objectives
A. Content Standards The learner demonstrates understanding of Contemporary
Philippine literature as a means of responding to the demands
of the global village; various extended text types; lexical and
contextual cues; appropriate and polite oral language, stance,
and behavior; and use of imperatives, prepositions, verbs, and
WH-questions.
B. Performance Standards The learner transfers learning by: explaining the need to be
cooperative and responsible today’s global village using
appropriate strategies to comprehend extended types; using
lexical and contextual clues to understand unfamiliar words
and expressions; using imperatives, prepositions, and
appropriate and polite oral language, stance and behavior in
various information-sharing formats.
C. Learning Competencies EN7WC-IV-c-1.3- Organize information about a chosen subject
using a graphic organizer.

D. Objectives At the end of the 60-minute lesson, 90% of the students will be
able to:
a. identify details in the text through a graphic organizer;
b. appreciate the use of graphic organizer through making
if problem and solution map of playing online games ;
and
c. construct a graphic organizer about playing online
games.

B. (Activity)Establishing  The teacher will be posting a concept map on the board.

 The teacher will be asking the students on what they know
about online games. The teacher will share a trivia about
playing online games and will write the answers of the
students on the concept map.
 The teacher will be asking the following questions:
 How did you come up with your answers?
 What have you noticed with the concept map
produced?
C. Analysis  The teacher will be posting her visual aids on the board.

Graphic organizer is a visual display that demonstrates


relationships between facts, concepts or ideas. A graphic
organizer guides the learner’s thinking as they fill in and
build upon a visual map or diagram. They are also
informally used as a term to describe all visual learning
strategies such as concept mapping, webbing, mind
mapping, problem and solution map, and more.

 The teacher will be dividing the class into 5 groups.
 The students will be task to make a Problem and solution
map about playing online games.

 The teacher will be asking the students “Why so you think


it’s important for you as a students to identify the effect of
playing online games and proposing of possible solutions?

1. Application  By Group
 With the same groups, the students will be task to make
a concept map about the text below, identifying the main
idea and the supporting details.

Online gaming is one of the major trends today. With


online gaming, it is very possible to develop talent and
also compete a lot with other players. One can also earn
money from this experience after winning games. Online
gaming may be a very enjoyable experience for many but
may also have negative repercussions and consequences.
Online gaming may be one experience that may have
more harmful effects than good. For one, it may cause
addiction and time meant for other activities may be
consumed in online gaming. Online harassment may also
occur especially with children who get involved in online
gaming. Children playing games online may lead to online
abuse.

V. Evaluation  Individual Task


 In a ½ sheet of paper, each student’s will be creating
their own concept map as to how they will be able to
manage their time for studies and playing online games.
