Trainee Personal Goals

I am working on: make the students recognize what the fact family means and make the students
working and participating to solve different questions.

My goal from this lesson is to make the students understand the lesson that I will teach and working on
differentiation activities which is appropriate to their levels to can work.

Lesson Focus:

The students recognize the fact family and distinguish between the addition and subtraction while
using the different questions related to the fact family numbers.

Students should be able to use the fact family with using the same numbers for different questions
(addition and subtraction).

Lesson Outcomes

The students will be able to solve different questions by using the fact family numbers and solve the
differentiation activities to help them.

Students have a background of the addition and subtraction sign and number sentence questions.

Critical thinking: When the students have a chance to think and use their mind to answer on the
different questions and post it in the chat box. Also, while doing the mental math starter they will think

Differentiation activities (Support):

High level: Students will be given a link of the differentiation activity to work on it. So, for the high
group will work on the green color link because it is appropriate to their level. The students will solve
written questions. For example, if 3+2=5 then 5-2=? So they will submit their answer and move to next
questions so they have to write their answers by counting by themselves.

Medium level: Students will be given a link of the differentiation activity. Medium level will work on the
blue color because it is appropriate to their level. The students will work on the select related addition
and subtraction facts. It is like multiple choice questions so they will choose the right answer. For
example, 1+7=8 so they will choose this selection which is 7+1=8. Moreover, there is a different

Low level: students will work on the link activity also based on their color group which is Yellow group.
Students have to match the numbers to create the fact family numbers.

Differentiation activities (Stretch): I will provide to them a Quizzes link and tell them to join and add
