ABSTRACT

The study sought to infer the effect of Covid 19 in microbusinesses, to be

more specific in milk tea companies with regards to its income, production, and

operation. This research evaluates the significant difference in terms of the

impact of the pandemic in milk tea shops that operate before and during the

outbreak. This study also determined the influence of IATF protocols in the

operation of the industry and the approaches concluded by the institution up

against the outbreak. The researchers provided recommendations from results

that would be of big help to the involved institution to cope with the sudden

change and aftermath of the pandemic. The researchers used quota sampling to

determine the number of the respondents and disseminate surveys through an

online platform with 22 (twenty-two) companies serving as respondents from the

whole population of San Pablo City Laguna who are operating milk tea shops.

Respondents consisted of 10 (ten) companies that operate a business even

before the pandemic and 12 (twelve) companies that started business amidst the

covid 19. The data was collected and tabulated to be interpreted by the

researchers. The questionnaire was validated by Mr. Nelson Ticzon and consists

of questions relating to the effect of pandemic on milk tea companies and the

actions taken. Based on the results garnered by the researchers, pandemic

brought a substantial effect on milk tea companies that operate before and during

the outbreak. In conclusion, most of the companies that started during the

pandemic accumulate gain, on the other hand, most of the companies that

operate before the outbreak accumulate loss.
