At the end of the lesson, learners are expected to:

I.OBJECTIVES a. Identify objects under balance and unbalanced force
b. Determine and solve for the net force of the unbalanced force.

A. Content Standards The learners demonstrate an understanding of Newton’s Three Laws of

Motion

B. Performance Standards The learners shall be able to develop a written plan and implement a
“Newton’s Olympics”

C. Most Essential Learning Infer that when a body exerts a force in another, an equal amount of
Competencies (MELC) force is exerted back on it. S8FE-la-16

D. Enabling Competencies Demonstrate how a body responds to changes in motion.

Goal Orientation
 The learners will do the walkthrough of the lesson expectations.
 In this part, the content of the lesson will be presented.
 Learning objectives will also be introduced to guide the learners on
the learning targets founded on KSAV principles.

A. INTRODUCTION Learning Task No. 1: Balance or Unbalanced Force

(1 day) Direction: Identify the situations on (SLM p. 14) if it shows balance or
unbalanced force

Learning Task No. 2: Balanced Force.

Directions: A free-body diagram (FBD) illustrates the forces acting on
an object to determine the resultant force. Interpret the free-body
diagrams on (SLM p.14) and answer the questions that follow on the
sheet provided.

Learning Task No.3.1 Unbalanced Force

Directions: Read and analyse the given situations and the free-body
B. DEVELOPMENT
(1 day) diagrams below. Answer the questions that follow on the sheet
provided. (SLM p.15)

Learning Task No. 3.2: Balance or Unbalanced Force

Directions: Examine the pictures on (SLM p.15). Tell whether there is
balance or unbalanced force in each situation.
C. ENGAGEMENT
(1 day) Learning Task No. 4: Mathematical Problem
Directions: Solve the problem about balance and unbalanced forces on
(SLM p.15) using G-R-E- S-A method. Write your solutions and answer
on the provided sheet.

Learning Task No. 5:

D. ASSIMILATION Direction: Encircle the letter of the correct answer (SLM p.16)
(1 day) (The learners will choose the letter of the correct answer. They will write their
answer on a separate sheet of paper.)

The learners will write their personal insights about the lesson using the
VI. REFLECTION prompts below.
