Game : Rolled - Paper Word

As the name of the game, this game is actually creating a short simple sentence based on
the clue (word) got in the rolled- paper. Each student will get one rolled-paper and
student need to make a simple sentence according to the clue. For small students
classroom, the sentence may be written on the board so that others students can correct
and learn from others’s sentence. Meaning that they can learn each other. In the big
students class, student may write the sentence directly on the rolled- paper they got and it
will be corrected by teacher. The clue (word) depends on the learning material that have
been explained by teacher. For instance, the topic is about “Recount Text” which uses
Simple Past Tense. Therefore, the clue might be present verbs e.g, buy, teach, go,,etc.
Because it is in the past form, students needs to change the present verb into past form
before making the sentence. This game is better to be played in the end of the lesson.
Why? Because through this game, teacher can measure how far students are able to make
a simple sentence in the past form.

1. Rules
a. Students are divided into two group (e.g, group A and group B)
b. Each student in each group will take the paper and then make the sentence on the
board.
c. The two group will compete in making the sentence. The winner is the first group
where all members have finished making the sentence.

2. Advantages
a. Student will learn and practice how to make a simple sentence in the past form.
Indirectly, they learn about grammar.
b. Teacher can evaluate how far student are able to make past form sentence.
c. It trains student’ speed in thinking because they need to compete with another group.

When I teach students, I will give them a simple song that I have made by my own self
