LEARNING OBJECTIVES

M At the end of the lesson, most pupils will be able to read and match sentences to pictures correctly.

At the end of the lesson, some pupils will be able to guess the meaning of unfamiliar word by pointing to the picture

1. Stick the adjectives flashcards on the board. Write a number under each one.
2. Pupils draw a 3X3 grid. Play a bingo game, calling out the adjectives at random.
I. PRE-LESSON
3. If pupils have the corresponding adjective, cross it out.
4. The first to cross out all three and call out Bingo! is the winner.
1. Activity 1:
➢ Show number 1-20 flashcards. Pupils say each one.
➢ Stick the number flashcards 10-100 on the board. Say each word and get pupils to repeat.
➢ Remove one of the flashcards and encourage pupils to repeat all numbers including the
missing one.
➢ Repeat steps until all flashcards have been removed.
2. Activity 2:
➢ Organise pupils into groups. Distribute numbers flashcards to groups.
➢ Pupils complete the missing words/numbers and sequence the numbers.
II. LESSON DEVELOPMENT ➢ Check with the class.
3. Activity 3:
➢ Pupils look at the dialogues and elicit what Anna has got.
➢ Pupils to tell you what they think is happening.
➢ Pupils point to the bubbles as you play the cd.
➢ Play the CD again and do shadow reading. Model role-play the dialogue with a pupil.
➢ Pupils practise role-playing the dialogue in pairs. Volunteers perform for the whole class.
4. Activity 4:
➢ In pairs, pupils read and match the sentences to the correct pictures.
➢ Pupils compare their answers before the class check.
1. Show a picture card and write a sentence to describe it.
