Directions: Over the next two days, you will be exploring one of the areas of reform from the Progressive Era
in the early 1900s. Your group will be assigned one of the following areas of reform:

Education Women’s Rights


Environment Labor Movement
Government Settlement House Movement
Prohibition Urban Reforms

Step 1: You will create a Slides Presentation to include the following information:
1. Summary of the Movement: When did start/end, what were the goals?
2. Key Players: Who was involved in the movement? Introduce those people.
3. Legislation: What laws or acts were passed as a result of the movement?
4. Result: What was the outcome of the movement overall? Did it make an impact?
Evaluate: How effective was the movement? Why do you think this?

Step 2: You will design a poster to support the movement that your group was assigned. Your goal is to
gain support for your movement and encourage people to get involved in creating change as if it were the
early 1900s. Be creative!!
