The story of my academic life at UNJ and the brief history of UNJ

Assalamualaikum wr.wb, good morning everybody. My name is Mochammad Fauzi
Noviandri, i’m a first year education management student , i’m studying at Jakarta State
University.  With the student id number 1103620030. And I made this recording on April 8th,
2021. So the topic on this recording is that I will tell the academic life and history of my
beloved campus, the only one is Jakarta State University.

 First I will tell about my academic life at UNJ.

I am a first year education management student.  For my study activities in the second
semester, I was quite busy at the time of study.  I study from Monday to Thursday.  For
Monday starting from 10 am to 4 pm with courses in English and office management.  Then
Tuesday starts from 8 am to 11 pm with a course on educational policy.  Then Wednesday,
which is quite a tiring day for me, because there are 4 courses, namely citizenship,
Indonesian, philosophy of science, and national education management.  On Wednesdays I
started college from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.  And my last lecture was Thursday, where there were
two courses, namely the development of students and systems theory, on Thursday I started
studying from 10 am to 3 pm.

That is my academic activity in this second semester, it is quite tiring but I have to keep
my spirits up in order to get the best results.

 So, Next I will tell about the history of unj.

A brief history of the Jakarta State University.

Jakarta State University, which is known as the campus of this movement, was founded on
May 16th, 1964. In the beginning, UNJ was the Teacher Training and Education Institute
(IKIP).  Before becoming IKIP, the government has established various teacher education
courses to address the problem of the lack of education personnel in Indonesia.

Along with the decision on the change of the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education
(FKIP), University of Indonesia and the Teacher Education Institute (IPG) to become IKIP
Jakarta.  Furthermore, IKIP received expansion to develop educational and non-educational
sciences within the university.

IKIP Jakarta changed to Jakarta State University (UNJ) since August 4th, 1999, based on
the Presidential Decree. The inauguration was carried out by the President of the Republic of
Indonesia on August 31st, 1999 at the State Palace.  The anniversary of UNJ is determined to
be the same as the anniversary of IKIP Jakarta, namely on May 16th, 1964.
