Autonomy is one of the ethical issue in the movie because they didn’t
respect the decision of Anna’s decision on not to do it anymore even tough
she knows the consequence of her action, next is the Justice because they
are not making it fair for the both siblings that they only focus on Kate,
next is Nonmaleficence because Anna’s as a child experience a lot just for
the test of compatibility for her sister, lastly is Veracity because Anna is
slowly losing her trust to her mother because of the things that can happen
to her after she do the surgery. I don’t think it is ethical that the doctor
suggested on genetically engineering making a “donor child” for their sick
daughter because a child should be raised and take care of not to be a test
subject. I don’t think it is ethical for a couple to conceive a child just to
save the other one like for us we all deserve a chance to live a life and that
child deserves to live his/her life, so no it is not ethical to conceive a child
just to save another one. No as I said it is not ethical to conceive a child to
save another one so for me it is not ethical to force a child to donate for
her dying sister, it would be ethical if the child has agreed on doing so or
taking the procedure knowing all the things that can happen to her for
donating to her dying sister in order to save her. I agree with Anna that
age should not matter on this one, no one should keep the person alive
against their will they should all be free to do whatever they want as long
it doesn’t harm anyone as long as we love the things we do we should be
supported, being alive is a gift from God so no one has the right to keep
the person alive against their will if they wish to do the things they want
then we should show full support on this one. Yes I think their parents
went too far on this one Kate already told her sister Anna to let her go and
tell her parents that Anna is important too but no one listen to Anna, Anna
wants to try sports and go out without being careful but no one was there
to support her because her parents are too focused on saving Kate
forgetting that Anna is also their daughter who is also important because
of this it leads to Anna suing her own parents because of them going too
far in their concern for her sister Kate and the sister of the mother already
told their mother that sometimes the mom needs to let go and accept the
fact that it will happen no matter but we can blame the mom for doing this
because it is painful to lose a daughter but because of this she forgot that
there are brighter things outside than that and she still have her two
children. To me everyone deserves to live but not everyone is lucky to have
a healthy life or to have a life like everyone else so enjoy the life that is
given to us because some people wish to have a life like ours.
