4. Accuracy

Follows through instructions with Does Not Meet Expectations [1 pts]

attention to detail. Additional Comment: This one is a
problem. We expect students to make
mistakes. We don't expect anyone to be
perfect. Something I think that is really
hurting Muath is his
documentation/retention and
application of specific instructions
and/or steps in our process. Often times
this has nothing to do with planning
itself. An example is a patient chart
writeup. We have talked about all of the
specific boxes that need to be checked
before sending the plan to second check.
We have instructed him to make check
lists and detailed chart write-up guides
and basic things are still missed, like
non-treatment courses not being
completed or the plan not being
scheduled. This can also be
demonstrated in conversations with
Muath. We will have a conversation
where specific actions/changes are
requested and then they are not applied.
Example: I instructed Muath to delete all
non-treatment plans in the 0 Misc Tx
course except the pre-merged field in
field plan. He then deleted all of the
plans except for the merged treatment
plan. I explained the importance of
keeping the pre-merge plan in case plan
changes are required down the road as
well as being able to review his blocks.
The next day he did the exact same
thing. He deleted all of the plans except
for the Merged treatment plan. There
are lots of similar examples to this. We
are willing to spend whatever time it
takes for proper notes to be taken or
explain the reasoning behind processes
and why they are important but Muath
needs to develop a way to retain this
information. Either through note taking
or question asking. Methods like "repeat
back" and "Clarifying questions" can be
used, and we can go over how to use
this. Whatever the resolution, this is very
important and will be important for the
entirety of his career. He can not rely on
his memory. He MUST figure out a way
to improve for him to be successful.

a bit better at getting plan done on time
relative to the patients start date. We
