Allowable Axial Compression

1. API Section 3.2.2a : Column Buckling


The allowable axial compressive stress, Fa, should be determined from the following AISC formulas for
members with a D/t ratio equal to or less than 60 :

Extenal diameter of pile, De = 1524 mm
Internal diameter of pile, Di = 1460 mm
