SEMESTRAL BREAK IN-SERVICE TRAINING 2020


The Junior High and Elementary Department organized a 5-day In-Service training program
through the efforts of Mr. Jeric E. Cabug, the principal of Osmena Colleges together with the different
working committees, Stage and decoration done by elementary teachers, certificates done by Grade
7 teachers, Hall preparation done by Grade 8 teachers, Food & snack prepared by Grade 9 teachers
and Attendance & registration by the Grade 10 teachers. It was held at room 301 on December 14-
18, 2020 with the theme “Ensuring Enduring Student Learning Outcomes with Online Distance
Learning and Teaching of K-12 Standards in the Time of COVID-19” the program started with the
prayer led by Sir Jojo Acuña Elementary teacher, followed by the Philippine National anthem led by
Sir Ronaldo Abilong JHS teacher and had a roll call of the participants. Mr. Jeric E. Cabug, as the
Principal of JHS and Elementary Department gave the opening remarks followed by the message of
the K-12 Head Master, Mrs. Roquesa F. Daep. On the first day, the session started with the
unpacking of standards and competencies for curriculum mapping with Sir Qayser Siblante, the talk
focused on Design and how to present a sample unit learning plan that is aligned with K-12
curriculum standards and develops learning outcomes and students’ 21st century skills for global
competitiveness. On the next day, the session focused on Designing the Unit Performance Task with
GRASPS and Aligned with the Learning Goal of Transfer in kinder and Grades school Learning Unit
with Ma’am Jennelyn Araneta. The day after yesterday’s session the speakers tackled about
Budgeting the Time for Online Learning in a Unit Calendar with Sir Ernel Flores and by the following
day talked about the meaning making on how to get the enduring understanding and essential
question with Ma’am Dyna Padilla. The last day session of the seminar was reporting and critiquing
the outputs on every speaker’s task assigned by the teachers with their respective subjects. The
program ended with the awarding of certificates to the people behind making the event a successful
one.
