LEARNING ACTIVITY 1- (PERSONAL LETTER)

REFLECTION

1. In this activity, I have learned about a personal letter. A personal letter or


friendly letter is a letter that is usually addressed to people you know
personally. The format of letter are Heading, Salutation/greeting, Body of
letter/message (Opening, Sharing current and past personal news,
Responding the expected, unexpected, and personal news) Complimentary
sign/closing and signature. The language features of personal letter are
focus on exchanging personal current news, feelings and condition, use
pronouns, simple present tense and past tense, use the date and address
and informal greeting and salutation.
2. The key features of personal letter include some differences among example
of personal letters regarding on the generic structures which are; (1) Date of
writing, (2) Receiver, (3) Greeting form, (4) Ice breaking, (5) Main purpose, (6)
Personal news, (7) Closing, (8) Complimentary close/sign off, (9) Sender. We
are demanded to understand the language features use in the letters too.

3. What I like most about this activity is I got to know the element of personal
letter. The video tell us the details of making appropriate letter based on its
contextual situation and function.

4. What I need to learn more is to practice making various personal letter in


good manners by observing its function and generic structures.
LEARNING ACTIVITY- 2 (INVITATION)

REFLECTION

1. In this activity I have learned about invitation. A formal invitation is


formal written and verbal request inviting someone to go somewhere, to
do something, or to participate an event. Generally, the invitation card
includes the following information: Name of the host, Standard
expression, Detail information including day, date, time, and venue of
the event, Purpose of invitation, Special note (e.g. dress code,
reservation/RSPV). The language features of formal invitation is present
tense.

2. The key features of Invitation include some differences among example of


invitation regarding on the generic structures which are: Receiver, Body
of Invitation, Subject, Day/Date, Time, Place and Sender. The social
functions of Invitation is to invite someone attend/come an event.Making
a number of formal invitations which are contextually acceptable social
function, text structure and language features in regard to the contexts
of situation

3. What I like most about this activity is I got to know the element of
Invitation The video tell us the details of making appropriate invitation
based on its contextual situation and function.

4. What I need to improve more is practicing to make various invitation in


good manners by observing its function and generic structures.
LEARNING ACTIVITY-3 (ANNOUNCEMENT)

REFLECTION

1. In this activity I have learned about announcement Announcement is a


statement made to the public or to the media which gives information
about something that has happened or that will happen.Generic
Structure of announcement are Headings/Purposes and Detailed
information. The function of announcement is To share
planned/arranged activities/agenda. Language Features of
announcement are Common expressions in announcement, Singular
and plural nouns with or without articles a, the, this, those, my, their, etc
and Pronunciation, Intonation, spellings, and punctuation marks.

2. The key features of Invitation include some differences between spoken


and written announcement on the structures of text and the features of
language, how to make the announcement, and how to announce orally
is significant to be learned by you as the participants of teacher
profession

3. What I like most about this activity is I got to know the element of

announcement based on its contextual situation and function.

REFLECTION

1. In this activity I have learned about advertisement. Advertising is the


action of calling public attention to an idea, good, or service through
paid announcements by an identified sponsor. Language Features of
advertisement are The choice of words used related to necessary
information, The choice of words used to indicate the target, The choice
of words used is precise, logical, and courteous, The choice of words
used have a suggestion for the audience.

2. The key features of advertisement include some differences between


differences and similarities between a number of advertisement texts in
regard to the social functions,text structure, lexicogrammatical features.

3. What I like most about this activity is I got to know the element of
advertisementt. The video tell us the details of making appropriate
advertismenet based on its contextual situation and function.

4. What I need to improve more is practicing to make various


adverstisement in good manners by observing its function and generic
structures.
