Classroom Policies Class Attendance
1. Any student with 3 consecutive absences from his/her class must obtain a re-admission slip from the
Guidance  Counselor for presentation to his/her Dean and his/her Instructor before he/she can be re-
admitted to class.
2. When the student’s absences for one semester in a subject reached 20% of the required number of hours of
recitation, lecture, laboratory or any scheduled work, and the absences are not excused, the student shall be
dropped from the class roll or as required in the respective colleges.
3. Absences due to the following are considered excused:
a. Students are sent on official business
b. Students who are out of campus and could not return due to unavoidable circumstances
c.Students who are ill or confined for hospitalization
d. Excuses are for time missed only. All activities covered by the class during absence will be made up to
satisfy the requirements missed within the semester/summer before any final grade is given

Examinations
1. The examinations should be taken at the scheduled date. Late comers will not be given the examination.
Make up exam shall only be given to those who have valid reasons and upon presentation of an excuse slip.

QSU-INS-F002
Rev. 00 (Feb. 11, 2019)
QUIRINO STATE UNIVERSITY
College of Teacher Education
Bachelor of Secondary Education
Promoting pedagogical excellence

Those who were not able to take the exam without valid reasons will be given “0” for the exam that was
missed.
2. An examination permit is required for each student before he/she is allowed to take the examinations.
3. Special Examination is given to a student who (incurs an excused absence during) fails to take the
scheduled examination

Proper Conduct
1. The student is responsible for staying abreast of the reading in the text and coming to class prepared to
participate in class discussions of the day’s topics and in small group assignments
2. During lecture, the student is expected to keep talking (personal comments to fellow students) to a
minimum.
3. During lecture time, the student is not supposed to work on assignments or study for quizzes/exams in
other classes.
4. The student is expected to come to class on time. If he/she has to leave class early, he/she should inform
the teacher before the class and then sit at the back or te side so that he/she can make a quiet exit.
5. The student is expected to make all the projects on or before the set deadlines. There will be a deduction per
day for late submission.
6. The student is expected to treat all members of the class with respect.
7. Any violation of the university’s academic honesty policy will result in an automatic grade of 5.0 and a
report to the student tribunal
8. Avoid making noise. No shouting or gagging in class.
9. All mobile gadgets should be turned on silent mode during class and turned off during exam.
