Goal:
When an individual, a family and a community become successful in self -
reliance economy, the economy growth of the country itself becomes automatic
and independent; hence dependence on importation from other countries for
livelihood becomes minimum. This in turn helps a country to move towards
developmental growth. People who live in a country like Srilanka which has
water and land resources can move towards economic growth by using its own
resources that are at our disposal.

 For us who are born and live in Srilanka, our lives depend on our efforts to live
and progress. This is what I can point out as the proof for you to place trust in
me.
I have the expertise in Land and Agriculture and the ability to directly get in the
field to work hard by using the opportunity you can provide me with. I can
assure you, that through my action plans, I will absorb the help and create job
opportunity for workers based on market acquisition.
With the help of the encouragement from the government in achieving
individual self-reliance economy, my action plans will move towards national
development. I can point out some of the reasons for new job opportunities in
Land and Agriculture below.
• A solid and continuous agriculture.
• Creating an environment for producing sufficient agricultural products and by-
products.
• Products that are easily available throughout the year
• No limitation to land access.
• Sufficient manpower.
• Sufficient products that can be exported.
• Government subsidies and incentives that can encourage jobs related to
agriculture.
• A very solid local market for the products.
• Skills needed to preserve the agricultural products.
• Help from the diaspora Tamils.
A summary of action plans put forward:
Fix and align the land that is given by the government to utilize it for a
profitable coconut plantation and a livestock farm. This is an investment for not
only to generate profit, but also to create job opportunities and hence move
towards self-reliance economy in villages.
Also, I can put my effort to improve national economy by planting and
harvesting vegetables and greens that have overseas demand by using our
natural resources as the capital to do. This can be achieved through proper
action plan and hard work.

move towards economic growth, and attain economic sustainability by using its
own resources that are at our disposal.
Important goal of my plan:
• Creating new job opportunities by lifting self-reliance economy.
• Increase the production and exportation of food products in the near future,
and hence increase the flow of foreign exchange that can be used for national
development.
• By absorbing changes that are aligned with agricultural environment, pairing
up traditional methods with innovative and novelty ideas and using our
available natural resources, we can improve local development. This in turn,
will help to improve national food and other security and lead the country
towards becoming a developed nation.
