WHAT IS WINDOWS LIVE MOVIE MAKER?


Windows Live Movie Maker allows you to create audio and video to your computer from a
digital camera or video camera, and then use them in your movies.

THE QUICK ACCESS TOOLBAR


The Quick Access Toolbar is located at the top of the Movie Maker window. It contains
frequently used commands.

THE RIBBON


The Ribbon is the panel below the Quick Access Toolbar and Title Bar. It has six tabs which
are Home, Animation, Visual Effects, Project, View, and Edit.

THE MOVIE MAKER TAB


The Movie Maker tab is called the File tab or Backstage view in other Microsoft programs.

THE HOME TAB


The Home tab displays the related commands which are grouped as Clipboard, Add,
AutoMovie Themes, Editing, and Share.

THE ANIMATION TAB


The Animation tab displays the related commands which are grouped as Transitions, Pan and
Zoom.

THE VISUAL EFFECTS TAB


The Visual Effects tab displays the related commands which are grouped as Effects.

THE PROJECT TAB


The Project tab displays the related commands which are grouped as Audio and Aspect Ratio.

THE VIEW TAB


The View tab displays the related commands which are grouped as Time zoom, Thumbnail
Size, and Preview Full Screen.

THE VIDEO TOOLS EDIT TAB


The Video Tools tab will appear when you add videos to your movie.

THE MUSIC TOOLS OPTIONS TAB


The Music Tools Options tab will appear when you add music to your movie.

THE TEXT TOOL FORMAT TAB


The Text Tools Format tab will appear when you add text to your movie.

MANAGING THE MOVIE MAKER INTERFACE
