horizontally. Vertical and horizontal reinforcement shall be as
indicated on the design drawings.

3.10 INSTALLATION OF REINFORCED CONCRETE MASONRY UNIT

A. Temporary Form-work and Shores: Construct form-work and shores to

support reinforced masonry elements during construction.

1. Construct form-work to conform to shape, line, and dimensions

shown. Make sufficiently tight to prevent leakage of mortar and
grout. Brace, tie, and support forms to maintain position and
shape during construction and curing of reinforced masonry.

2. Do not remove forms and shores until reinforced masonry

members have hardened sufficiently to carry their own weight
and other temporary loads that may be placed on them during
construction.

B. Grouting: Do not place grout until entire height of masonry to be

grouted has attained sufficient strength to resist grout pressure.

1. Do not exceed the following pour heights for fine grout

a. For minimum widths of grout spaces of 19 mm or for

DEFINITION OF SUPPLIER DOCUMENT REVIEW STATUS ASSIGNED BY PGESCo

The guidelines listed below shall be followed in assigning the document status code to
Supplier/Contractor submittal. These status codes serve as review points for starting or continuing
the process of procurement, manufacture, construction, and/or installation of the commodities
covered by this contract. The submittal and its transmittal letter shall indicate the reason for
withholding permission to proceed with the work. The submittal normal review cycle should
comprise one revision (Revision 01), for PGESCo review and comment, to be resolved by Supplier,
then to be re-submitted by Supplier to PGESCo, as (Revision 02), with all comments resolved to be
given status “1”. Submittals re-submitted to PGESCo, with PGESCo comments ignored,
unresolved, and/or improperly resolved by Supplier, shall be given status “3”, and the
Supplier/Contractor shall be fully liable if the project schedule is consequently impacted. All
Supplier’s/Contractor’s submittals given review status “2” or “3” by PGESCo, must be re-submitted,
with all PGESCo’s comments resolved/incorporated, by Supplier, within 15 calendar days from
receipt date of commented documents, for other cycle of review. Submittals that are re-submitted
to PGESCo for review shall clearly show and indicate all changes/modifications made to them from
previous revision. The Supplier/Contractor shall circle/cloud and/or highlight the changes on the
submittal, associated with revision number in a triangle adjacent to the circle/cloud, or, the
Supplier/Contractor shall provide a separate list of the changes/modifications performed on the
submittal. Final submittal of Supplier/Contractor documents, in soft and hard format, stamped with
“As-Built” stamp, shall be a mandatory, even though, the document was previously given review
status code “1” or “4”, and the site condition of the installed/constructed commodity conforms to the
current document. Permission to proceed does not constitute acceptance or approval of design
details, calculations, analyses, test methods, or materials developed or selected by the
Supplier/Contractor, and does not relieve the Supplier/Contractor from full responsibility of
compliance with contractual obligations.
x STATUS “1”: Work May Proceed:
The submittal conforms to contract documents requirements and contains all required details and
information sufficient for proper construction, installation, erection, etc. The submittal requires no
changes or additions. Matters remaining to be resolved are minor, and do not require submittal
change and may be handled by correspondence. Where it is known that the design information on
a Supplier/Contractor submittal, or part thereof, is not complete and re-submittals shall be required,
e.g., due to "HOLD" areas, the submittal shall be assigned another status code, of those indicated
below, as applicable.
x STATUS “2”: Revise and Re-submit. Work May Proceed Subject to Resolution of Indicated
Comments:
The submittal is in basic conformance with contract document requirements. Minor deviations from
contract document requirements are noted, or other minor technical or physical changes in the
design, drawing, product, material, equipment, etc, are required. Such changes may include those
affecting dimensions, material colors, etc. Administrative type changes, such as inclusion of
product, material, and/or equipment tag numbers, shipping notes, etc, may be combined with
technical changes in this status. Supplier/Contractor shall resolve comments and re-submit the
submittal to PGESCo for second cycle of review. Supplier/Contractor may proceed with
procurement, manufacturing, construction, installation, etc, for works other than commented
commodity, and shall resolve comments and re-submit the revised submittals prior to procurement,
manufacturing, construction, installation, etc, of commodity having PGESCo’s comments.
x STATUS “3”: Rejected- Revise and Re-Submit- Work May Not Proceed.
The submittal Does not conform to the contract documents requirements, And/Or, Is of a design
that is technically unacceptable unless significant changes are implemented, And/Or, Does not
meet project requirements, i.e., does not include full detailed shop drawings, incompliant
product/material/equipment data sheet, nonconforming information, product/material/equipment
lacks required quality, etc, And/Or, Does not conform to project criteria or to proposal documents or
data, And/Or, Does not meet minimum submittal requirements, such as, readability, full and correct
dimensions, proper drawing scale and size as required by contract documents, etc, And/Or, Does
not clearly demonstrate, circle, cloud, etc, areas of changes/deviation from previous revision,
And/Or Does not properly resolve PGESCo’s comments on previous revision, etc.
Supplier/Contractor cannot proceed with design, procurement, manufacturing, construction,
installation, etc, of commodity, until resolving PGESCo comments. This submittal rejection with
status “3” does not relieve Supplier/Contractor of any schedule commitments.
x STATUS “4”: Review Not Required. Work May Proceed:
The document is not subject to Owner review. Typical uses for this status are in the review of
items that are Contractor standard products, small interior parts of major equipment, or Contractor-
standardized data, and/or As-Built drawings when are identical to submittal previously given status
