Grade 10 Popular Music Project

Due:
In this project your group will identify and research a popular music group. Hopefully
this will be and interesting project and you will be able to share your knowledge and
passion of music with the rest of the class.

Suggestions for selecting a group or artist:

Any artist that has been out for more than 3 years will have more information than
a more recent one.
If you use the internet, be careful to get accurate information from reliable sources
and be sure to cite the sources you use. Some fan sites have great information but some
of it won’t be true. Compare different sites to test your data.
A single artist will be harder to research than a whole group as there is only one
person to present information about. If you do one artist, try to incorporate lots of extra
details about their career as well as your thoughts and opinions.

Assignment Details:
Once you have selected your topic, you are to report to Mr. Bushell so that we don’t have
everyone doing the same thing.
This project will be done on your own time. Be careful because you won’t have much
time to complete this assignment so use your time wisely!;^)
You may choose to present your information in a variety of different ways. Here is a list
of some suggestions, if you have an alternative way please see Mr. Bushell to get
approved.
Poster, powerpoint, speech, skit, movie, biography, interview,
commercial, time capsule, essay, webpage.
