Mojo New Asian Fusion Café, also known as Mojo’s, was founded by Boxi Wang, a
University of California, Santa Barbara alumni.
Mojo New Asian Fusion Café began as a small start-up in 2016, and opened their first
official shop in 2018.
After about a year at their first location, the shop relocated from 6578 Trigo Road to 6530
Seville Road Unit 105 in Isla Vista, California.
The business was first known as Mojo Teahouse, but rebranded their name as Mojo New
Asian Fusion Café in 2019 along with their relocation.
With their relocation in 2019, Mojo’s added new items to their menu, and continue to do so.
Their shop in Isla Vista sells an average of 300 plus boba drinks daily.
Wang’s goal with the business was to provide the Isla Vista community with accessible and
affordable fast Asian cuisine.
The shop is known in Isla Vista as the boba place, as they have been serving the
community since 2018.
Mojo’s goal is to emphasize the importance of culture and aim to prioritize their customers
above everything else.
The shop frequently partners with many of UCSB’s student organizations for fundraising
events.
The business has plans to expand the Mojo brand, and they recently opened their second
location in Hollywood, Los Angeles, California.
Their shop in Los Angeles is located in the Museum of Dream Space on the Hollywood
Walk of Fame.
