1.1 Lesson objectives:


After the lesson, the pupils will be able to:
1) Sound the /:/ (ir) sound correctly.
2) Read and understand the words correctly.

1.2 Lesson Outcomes:


2.1 Listen and respond appropriately in formal informal situations for a variety of purposes.
2.1.1 Able to recognise and articulate initial, medial and the final sounds in single syllable words within given context.
2.1.2 Able to blend phonemes into recognizable words and read them aloud.
2.1.3 Able to segment words into phonemes.

1.3 Links to previous & future lessons:


In the previous lesson, the pupils learnt about the sound of ‘ie’.
In the future lesson, the pupils will learn the sound of ‘ue’

1.4 Language analysis:

a) To improve students ability to respond quickly.
b) To test the pupils’ understanding on what the pupils just read.
c) To evaluate pupils’ understanding on the topic.
