1 Drone Delivery Overall Project
Prototype

1.1 Initiation 1.1.1 Define scope and Determine the goal of the project, understand its
boundaries limitations and define the scope
1.1.2 Identify and Bring in suitable employees from DroneTech and
engage stakeholders Wilmont's, build a project team, an organisation chart
and inform them about the project scope and goals
1.1.3 Draft contract Develop a charter, draft a contract for the

plan construction/modification of drones to keep the
project on track and avoid harsh weather conditions
1.2.4 Plan Setup suitable channels for communicating with the
communications stakeholders and the project team. Define and finalise
communication platforms, authorised email ids and
scheduled meetings

1.3 Systems 1.3.1 Procure materials Purchase materials, acquire hardware and software
development and software for the planned modifications to the drones
1.3.2 Interface Interface communications about deliveries for

online, and through mobile alerts as the customer
requests
1.3.3 Interface online Interface DroneTech's existing online order entry

1.4 Testing 1.4.1 Packaging test Perform test on packaging system to handle sensitive
drugs and breakable items within the test
environment. Verify tests with Wilmont’s
1.4.2 Flight path Perform test runs for carry and delivery of packages
engineering/testing for the modified drones along different paths and
determine optimised flight path

1.5 1.5.1 Pharmacy The phamacy managers for the 4 participating


Operating managers’ delivery pharmacies will be informed about the delivery plan
deliveries procedure and given sufficient information about the delivery
plan. They will be trained to handle the customised
delivery process
1.5.2 Orders and Flight Wilmont's will handle customer willingness requests,
operations approve orders and maintain inventory for drugs and
prescriptions. DroneTech will handle flight operations
and control the drones using their interface and
systems
1.5.3 Business analysis Business analysts from both the organisations will
analyse the business potential of the prototype
project
1.5.4 Drone Maintain drones during the execution of the project.
Maintenance and Ensure availability of operational drones during
repairs maintenance of another

1.6 Closeout 1.6.1 Performance The key stakeholders will analyse the success of the
analysis prototype and determine its applicability on a
commercial scale.
1.6.2 Project report An elaborate report will be made considering the
performance of the prototype, the challenges and the
results
1.6.3 Documentation The project documents will be updated, validated
with signatures and archived for future use
