drugs and prescriptions. DroneTech will customise their drone systems, IT interface and
business structure to develop a seamless drone delivery system. Systems, business and
communications interfacing will be done between the existing infrastructures of
DroneTech and Wilmont’s.
Project purpose Modification of drones, interfacing systems and operations to demonstrate the
compatibility and suitability of DroneTech’s systems and technology with realisation of
Wilmont’s innovative drug and prescriptions delivery concept. The prototype project is
aimed to ensure seamless enhancement to the existing delivery process of Wilmont’s to
give Wilmont’s a green signal to move ahead with drone delivery of their drugs and
prescriptions. It will boost DroneTech to develop a strong business relationship with
Wilmont’s. Wilmont’s will be a business pioneer in drone drug delivery and DroneTech
will gain business stability by associating with Wilmont’s
Scope/Boundaries 1. The prototype project will be executed in a suburban area in San Francisco with
small businesses with four participating pharmacies
2. DroneTech will customise four drones and will handle flight controls
3. The online orders and business will be handled by Wilmont’s
4. Apartment building customers are not included in the prototype project.
Requirements 1. The customised flight systems, IT and communications interface should meet the
standards set by Wilmont’s.
2. The drones will bear Wilmont’s logo and should have temperature-controlled
product bagging system and bubble type cushioning system.
3. Online order entry, delivery confirmation for customers and mobile app and
communications need to be interfaced so that the customers are directed towards
Wilmont’s IT infrastructure.
4. Overall cost of the prototype project should be less than $750,000

Mr. Cranston is funding the prototype project and the budget is expected to remain
below $750,000
Project members will be paid on hourly basis
It is assumed that the weather conditions will favour drone flights
Specific areas with drone prohibition may hinder probable flight routes
Pre-Approved Maximum budget allocation of $750,000

Risks Customisation to drone and delivery systems might not suit temperature sensitive and
breakable items
There might be cyber security issues with the new IT interfaces
Unprecedented weather conditions might affect first customer delivery flight
Not many customers might participate considering the sub-urban setting and limitation
to non-apartment building residents
