18, 2017 AT THE BARANGAY SOCIAL HALL, NORTH POBLACION, MARAMAG, BUKIDNON AT 10:00

The 4TH Quarter Meeting, hosted by Engr. Dorothy P. Felipe –

administrative assistant/BNS, include the following AGENDA: Routine
Reporting, the Conduct of MOTHERS’ CLASS, 2 nd Semester Synchronized
Barangay Assembly, 2nd Round Municipal Clean and Green Evaluation,
MASA-MASID Orientation and Provincial Evaluation on Solid Waste
Management-Gawad sa Pangulo, and Other Matters.

I INVOCATION : HON. JOHN ANDRE G. LALAAN led the opening prayer at 9:45 in the morning of
September 18, 2017 at the Barangay Social Hall, North Poblacion, Maramag,
Bukidnon.

An acknowledgment of all the officers and members present was made by the
PUNONG BARANGAY – HON. NESTOR G. PAULLICAN before the declaration of
quorum by the BCPC Secretary.
MRS. ESTER Y. CORNILLA, BCPC secretary, was thereafter called to read the
PREVIOUS MINUTES OF MEETING of the BCPC held last JULY 7, 2017 and to
determine a quorum. There being no revision or correction made, the previous
minutes of meeting was adopted on motion of MRS. LETICIA G. PAULICAN
seconded by HON. CATALINO M. MATUNOG, JR.

VII. DISCUSSION PROPER:

1. ROUTINE REPORTING ON BARANGAY HEALTH STATION (BHS) ACTIVITIES:
1.1 UPDATES.
NBS COORDINATORS CONVENTION ON OCTOBER 2, 2017 AT THE PICC, PASAY CITY. ENGR.
DOROTHY P. FELIPE announced to the body that she is scheduled to attend the NEW BORN SCREENING
(NBS) Coordinators Convention on October 2, 2017 to be held at the PHILIPPINE INTERNATIONAL
CONVENTION CENTER (PICC) IN PASAY CITY. All expenses shall be borne by the Barangay Government.
The NBS, she said, is very vital to our LYING IN CLINIC OPERATION as it ensures the health of the new born
babies being delivered at our PAANAKAN through SCREENING leading to the early detection of
abnormalities/defects. Hence, these could be remedied or treated outright.

BNS ANNUAL CONFERENCE TO BE HELD IN TANGUB CITY, MISAMIS OCCIDENTAL ON

OCTOBER 17-18, 2017. The Barangay Nutrition Scholars (BNS) – Engr. Dorothy P. Felipe and Mrs. Lucilyn M.
Tombiga, will both attend the 2-day ANNUAL CONFERENCE on October 17-18, 2017 in Tangub City. These
yearly seminars are intended for the development of our human resource or Barangay Staff working on our health
and nutrition plans and programs, so that all expenses will also be shouldered by the LGU Barangay North
Poblacion.

BLOOD LETTING OPERATION ON NOVEMBER 14, 2017. The BCPC Focal Person informed the body
present about the blood-letting operation that will be conducted on November 14, 2017 while encouraging
everyone to invite BLOOD DONORS in their respective barangays. She said that though this is a routine
operation for the BHWs, the BHS staff, the BNS and barangay staff, everyone should make his or his own
contribution to this life-saving activity.

2. CONDUCT OF MOTHERS’ CLASS OR PABASA NUTRISYON 2017.

The BNS at the same time focal person of the BCPC informed the body that for 2017, she initially conducted her
mothers’ class on the 2nd week of September with the mothers at Purok 9B Day Care Center and plans to hold the rest
of the PABASA SA NUTRISYON on the 4 th week of the same month to cover the other Day Care Centers of North
Poblacion. The activity is expected to end on the 2 nd week of December, 2017 where the graduation will be held.
PABASA CLASSES are designed to teach and guide mothers on how to prepare a well-balanced meal for the entire
family. And so, she calls on the assistance of the BCPC officers and members to help disseminate this information and
encourage all mothers in their respective purks to enrol in this NUTRISYON CLASS.
3. 2nd SEMESTER SYNCHRONIZED BARANGAY ASSEMBLY ON OCTOBER 21, 2017. The Punong Barangay
—HON. NESTOR G. PAULICAN, gave notice to the BCPC officers and members that the 2 nd semester synchronized
Barangay Assembly will be on October 21, 2017. He added that the LGU Barangay staff is preparing for the event,
particularly the report of the Local Chief Executive in his STATE OF THE BARANGAY ADDRESS. All departments
of the Barangay Government should update their performance report for the year 2017 as these will be included in the
REPORT TO THE PEOPLE.
4. 2nd ROUND MUNICIPAL CLEAN AND GREEN EVALUATION on DECEMBER 6, 2017. The BCPC Chairman
also informed the body that the LGU of Maramag has communicated to the LGU Barangay North Poblacion regarding
the scheduled 2nd Round Clean and Green Evaluation that they will conduct (by cluster) in the 20 barangays of
Maramag. However, he said, the barangay government should make it a point to keep the surroundings clean and
sanitary, with or without these rounds of evaluation, as they pertain to the general health of the constituents, especially
the children. He called for the continuing support of the BCPC officers and members to take active part in
implementing all the plans and measures formulated by the body, to make it relevant and effective. Those present
voiced their pledge of support.

5. MASA MASID ORIENTATION AND SYMPOSIUM ON DRUG PREVENTION AND TREATMENT. HON.
DANILO B. CARIAGA, chairperson committee on peace and order, announced that on December 13, 2017 there will
be a MASA MASID ORIENTATION and SYMPOSIUM ON DRUG PREVENTION AND TREATMENT for all
bantay bayan members, purok presidents and youth clubs. The orientation cum symposium will be sponsored by the
PHILIPPINE DRUG ENFORCERS AGENCY (PDEA) in coordination with the Philippine National Police (PNP)
Station of Maramag. The report of Kag Cariaga was receive with much approval from the body, particularly by the
representatives of the ACADEME.
 6. PROVINCIAL EVALUATION ON SOLID WASTE MANAGEMENT ON DECEMBER 18, 2017. HON. CARLOS
EMILIO F. GAMBOA discussed with the august body the upcoming provincial evaluation on solid waste management
to be held on December 18, 2017. He said that despite the many activities during the month of December, tuloy na
tuloy pa rin ang evaluation. The National Government, he said, is very serious in implementing RA 9003 in response
to the worsening pile of garbage irresponsibly disposed of by the people causing all sorts of changes in our
environment. He thereby asked the body to always include in their information dissemination activities, the practice
of segregating the bio and non-bio degradable wastes beginning in the households.

7. OTHER MATTERS. (ANNOUNCEMENT)

The following announcement was made by the BCPC Secretary – Mrs. Ester Y. Cornilla:
(a) NOVEMBER 15-17, 2017 NATIONAL CHILDREN’S MONTH
(b) NOVEMBER 17, 2017 MADAC LARONG PINOY
(c) DECEMBER 11, 2017 PAMASKONG HANDOG NI GOVERNOR FOR THE BARANGAY STAFF
CHILDREN

8. ADJOURNMENT.
There being no more matter to discuss, the 4th quarter meeting of the BCPC was moved to be adjourned by HON. BAE
MERLYN S. DAYONDON, seconded by HON. HERMOSA B LOMOD.

RESOLVE THAT copies of the -MINUTES of the 4TH QUARTER MEETING of the BCPC be furnished to all offices concerned and
that the original copy be filed in the 2017 BCPC QUARTERLY MEETING FOLDER.
