There is some theme and variation possible when it comes to installing a Modular BAC.

The individual pieces of equipment are relatively heavy and it is suggested that a pallet
truck be used to position the pieces.

The preceding illustrations are extracted from the final assembly of the Modular BAC,
drawing MK6H1CXXXC3H4X42A6.

The first piece of equipment to position is the four position bottle rack Item 11.

If space allows, it is a good idea to leave 24 inches between the rear of the machine and
the adjoining wall to simplify the installation of air line hoses and the assembly
components that get bolted together.

After positioning the Bottle Rack, the Left & Right Bracket Weldments, Items 10 & 12
above, gets bolted to the Bottle Rack.

The Storage Cart Anchor Bracket, Item 11, gets loosely attached at this time but does not
accurately positioned until after the Storage Cart is installed on page 18.

The next step is to install the Right Wall Panel Assembly, drawing MBAC10711 shown
below.

After installing the Right Wall panel, the Fill Station is pushed into place with the pallet
truck.

The Fill Station is bolted to the Positioning Brackets locking the Bottle Rack and Fill
Station together.

With the Bottle Rack and Fill Station tied together, the next item to install is the BAM
Bottle Rack Anchor Weldment, Item 7 above, found in drawing MBAC10700..

The next item to position is the BAM. The BAM Bottle Rack Anchor, Item 7 on page 11,
positions the inside rear leg of the BAM.

The Removable Front Positioning Clamp shown below is used to position the front of the
BAM to establish the correct opening for the Removable Storage Cart.

The Removable Front Positioning Bar shown on page 13 and in the pictures above is
removed after the BAM Clamp Assembly is fully assembled.

The ½” full thread bolt, Item 5 on page 12, is used to push the BAM forward and to
accurately position the inside rear leg of the BAM which is clamped in place by Items 7
& 8.

Item 5 needs to be backed off before tightening the locking clamp, Item 9 on page 12..

The Storage Cart Assembly, MBAC10673, shown on page 17, may have shipped with the
four casters installed. If not, they need to be installed.

Earlier models of the Modular BAC used locating pins to hold the Storage Cart in place.
The most resent design employs an improved, easier to use, gravity mechanism to anchor
the cart in its normal docking position.

The Storage Cart Anchor Bracket is positioned with the Storage Cart in its home position.

The bracket is slotted so it can be slide up and down and washers are used to space it far
enough away from the Bottle Rack so the locking clamp is engaged.

When the bracket is correctly installed, the pivoting clamp locks on to the bracket when
the cart is pushed back into its home position.

With all the primary pieces bolted in place, it is time to connect:

1. Power to the compressor,

2. Remote air ducting to the rear of the BAM,
3. The compressed air lines between the BAM and the Fill Station, and
4. The hoses between the Bottle Rack and the Fill Station.

The location of the electrical entrance and supply air connection are shown on page 4.

There is a 90 Deg, ¼ “ JIC Swivel, CONSM9009, that may have shipped loose, that gets
attached to the rear of the BAM compressed air discharge. The five foot hose is used to
connect the BAM to the Fill Station. The shorter hoses are used to connect the two bank
cascade cylinders to the fill station.

The last thing to install is the Box Molding, MBAC1010708 shown above.

The molding is held in place by gravity and is easily removed to access the tilt up service,
ceiling panel on the Fill Station. A ¼ thick foam rubber strip is attached to the under side
of the Box Molding and is used for sound dampening and to eliminate vibration.

If the floor runs out significantly, it will be necessary to shim the lower pieces of
equipment to get the Storage Cart reveal to look plumb to the BAM and Fill Station. The
Box Molding should freely lift off of the assembled equipment.

Contact Sales at 352-732-2268, if you have any questions about the installation
procedure.

The field service personnel should appreciate that the right hand side of the BAM and the
left side of the Fill Station are fully serviceable with the center storage cart removed.

Your comments and suggestions are appreciated.
