Specification and scope of work

1.0 SCOPE:

This specification consists of design, supply, transportation, installation,

testing and commissioning of window air conditioners described under
the schedule of quantities for the building. The units shall comprise of
Reciprocating/rotary compressors, air cooled Condenser, Evaporator coil,
Filters, capillary tube, blower, condenser fan, piping and necessary
controls. The Window Airconditioners shall conform the specification of
IS 1391: Part I with latest amendments.

2.1 SPECIFICATIONS FOR 1.0TR WINDOW AIR CONDITIONER:

Supply, installation, testing and commissioning of 1.0TR Window type

Air-conditioner fitted with hermetically sealed rotary/reciprocating
compressors operating on Refrigerant R-22/non CFC confirming to
IS:1391 (Part-1)/92 (Amdn.1) suitable for operation on 230V, 50 Hz Single
phase, A.C power supply capable of performing; Cooling, Dehumidifying,
Air Circulating & Filtering.

EER : Shall be more than 2.75 (W/W)

Air Filters : 90% efficiency, filtering down to 10 micron size,
washable HDPE air filters
Star rating : 3 STAR
Nominal cooling capacity : 3000 Kcal/hr ( or) 1.0 TR

phase, A.C power supply capable of performing; Cooling, Dehumidifying,
Air Circulating & Filtering.

conditioners fitted with hermetically sealed rotary /reciprocating
compressor operating on Refrigerant R-22/non CFC confirming to
IS:1391 (Part-2)/92 (Amdn.1) suitable for operation on 230V, 50 Hz Single
phase, A.C power supply and capable of performing; Cooling,
Dehumidifying, Air Circulating & Filtering.

2.0 SPECIFICATION OF 1.5 TR SPLIT AIR CONDIONERS:

Cooling Capacity : 1.5 TR (4500 Kcal/h) (18000Btu/h)

Power supply : 1 phase, 230 V, 50 Hz, a.c
E.E.R : Shall be more than 10
Refrigerant : R-22 / non CFC
Air filter : 90% efficiency, filtering down to 10 micron
size, washable HDPE air filters
Preferred make : Bluestar, Voltas, Hitachi & Carrier
IDU : Wall mounting type with remote
ODU : Powder coated sheet metal parts with
Anti corrosive coated aluminium fins
condenser coil.
Star rating : 3 Star
Unit rate of copper piping and cabling shall be quoted for extra piping
beyond 6 mtrs.

3.0 REFRIGERANT PIPING:

All refrigerant piping shall be pressure tested for 350 psig to rule out any
leak. Necessary slope of drain pipe shall be provided and copper piping
shall confirm to standard ASTM B 68-02 and relevant standards & codes.
