“PROJECT BaYAN” (BAnsay YAkapin Natin)

21st Century learners or the modern learners of this generation are limitless in the use of
technology and social media. Students who have available materials and connection to the internet
can search every thing they want to know. Though these materials are available it is important for
them to know what are the proper information to search about. It is a sad truth that today’s learners
have limited knowledge about the history and identity of their own country. It is about time to bring
them into the right track. Modern way of learning is not bad but it is essential and healthy for all of us
to know the important things,people, events happened and still happening in our country, the
Philippines.
PROJECT BAYAN will help these modern learners to know something important regarding the
history. Since we know that history must never be set aside. Students today always talk about the
heroes and characters of Mobile Legends,DOTA,SF and more characters of different mobile games,
but ask them who are the heroes of the Philippines, unfortunately they do not know even their works
of heroism.Young people are observed to wear and use foreign garments.It started from their
clothes,their gadgets, their personal things etc. They are fond of using those things which are not
related to our country. We have personal reasons why sometimes we are used to take foreign
products but we have to think how to appreciate our own so it will become more in good quality than
usual by giving suggestions how to improve it. One of the saddest part of the history is the mindset
given by our ancestors to us, they always remind young people next to them to finish their education
to find a high paying job. This mindset is quite wrong; to whom are we going to work for,for the
foreigner who build his business in our country? We are now slaves in our land, those thoughts are
nothing for this generation, they just want to go with the flow, they just want to be famous in social
media. Modern youth would never be aware and never be care about the future of this pity home.
And that would be the scariest thing could happen if we will not do something.
This project aims to awaken the 21st century learners to most essential events,people, and
everything that is important when it comes to our very country. First, they have to be aware about
what happened in the Philippines under the times of slavery. Let them know the heroism did by our
ancestors to protect the country specially every person who considered as heroes by those hard
times. Second, make them aware about the use of own products, inform them the benefits of using
those local items. Third, teach students to become patriot in all aspects, start it in loving their country.
Let them realize that they have to protect the home which their ancestors offered their lives for.
Lastly, make them think for something that is beneficial to the country, like how they could help to
promote our own products and how to preserve country’s wealth.
Time of crisis will never be the reason to stop Agoncillo National High School Supreme Student
Government to give its best for the benefit of the Philippine people and the said country as well. SSG
Officers will use their knowledge and influence in social media to disseminate all information,trivia
using infographics.
