2. Teacher plays the song from Student’s Book, p.35 and have pupils sing along.
3Teacher explains that in some countries, the school year starts in September (e.g. European countries), which is
autumn. In other countries (e.g. Japan), it starts in the spring, April.
4. Pupils share what they know regarding the weather in other countries.
5. Pupils compare the song with the weather in Malaysia.
6. Pupils are divided into groups of four and given four pieces of paper. They are required to write the name of a
season on each one. Pupils then brainstorm vocabulary and ideas for each of the different seasons. They write one
word/phrase/idea on the paper and then pass it to their neighbour, who writes another idea, and soon.
7. Each group share their ideas and build a mind map on the board.
