Kindly find enclosed herewith the test reports of three number of Plate Load Tests
conducted by Research Officer, Jammu (HRS/MTL) Design Inspection and Quality Control
(DIQC) Jammu and Kashmir Government at Gulabgarh (Paddar), Kisthwar on our request to
determine the soil bearing capacity of land to be developed for infrastructure of Kirthai HEPs at
Gulabgarh.

As intimated by the Research Officer, Jammu (HRS/MTL) DIQC Jammu, the results of the
core samples for UCS shall be submitted later on as it require some time for the tests.

Description of Test - Plate Load Test for determination of Soil Bearing Capacity.
Reference: - Divisional Geologist (Engg.) Geological Division JKSPDC, Jammu vide his Letter No.
GD/JKSPDCru/192 Dated : 24.07 .20L9.
Testing Charges: - Received Rs. 89,100/- (Rs. Eighty Nine Thousand & One Hundred only) on account of
testing charges vide G.R. Nos. A- 2322569 Dated 18.10.2019 (03 PLT + UCS of Core Rock
sample).
Report: As desired by Divisional Geologist (Engg.) Geological Division JKSPDC, Jammu vide his letter
under reference, First Plate Load Test was conducted at Gulabgarh Kishtwar for
construction Office Compldx for Kirthai HEP. The site was identified by the concerned
department, where they have excavated trench of 4'-0" depth for conducting of safe Soil
Bearing Capacity test. The moisture content 6,380/o was determined after conducting
the test. At 15 tons, Loading Frame got lifted. The test data is as under:-
