I am Himani Baid and I am 2nd year B.A.LLB student from Amity University
Chhattisgarh and I’ll be the moderator of today’s session.

I'm excited to have you all in this session of Legalshala's International summer
school.

International summer school is a once-in-a-year golden opportunity for law


enthusiasts to procure knowledge, experience, & exposure and learn real-life legal
skills.

 Today, we will be discussing about the intricacies of Banking and Finance law. I
feel privileged and honored to have Mr. Devanshu Jain as our keynote speaker for
this session.

Sir is an associate in the Banking and Finance team at Trilegal and has extensive
experience in the domain of banking and finance. After completing his
undergraduate degree from Hidayatullah National Law University, Raipur and a
Master's degree from Institute for Law and Finance, Frankfurt, Germany, he
worked in the English Law Banking Team at White and Case, Frankfurt before
joining the Banking team at Trilegal, Mumbai. He has worked with top tier firms
like Squire Patton Boggs, White & Case and Trilegal and has deep insights and
extensive practical experience in this subject matter. He has worked on several
high value and complex financing transactions during this time.

Today we will be discussing about Corporate and Commercial law and the entry
level requirements in law firms. I am delighted and honored to have Ms. Shreya
Seth ma’am with us as the guest speaker for today’s session.

Ma’am is an alumnus of Symbiosis Law School, NOIDA having graduated in


2015. She is enrolled with the State Bar Council of Delhi with litigation practice
spanning across multitude of courts and forums. She is an experienced, disciplined
and performance driven professional and a true stand out in the legal sector.

Besides, She has recently shifted to independent counsel practice. She has
previously worked with the litigation and dispute resolution team of various top
notch law firms such as of Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas, Luthra and Luthra Law
Offices, Seth Dua and Associates etc. Meanwhile she has acquired a great insight
into the nuances of civil and commercial litigation.
