How does God build my faith?

Faith Activated
Romans 1:17 17 For in the gospel the righteousness of God is revealed—a righteousness that is by faith from
first to last, just as it is written: “The righteous will live by faith.”
Many people dream without GOD – they fail – If you dream with GOD – you will not fail.
Maraming nangangarap di nagaganap – dahil di nila sinama ang Diyos. Lahat ng maniniwala sa Diyos ay dapat
mamumay ng may pananampalataya.
We cannot please GOD without faith.
Anyone who come to Him must believe that HE exist.
Yes. Abraham’s faith – as he move forward – pleases GOD.
natin, yabang natin, kaastigan natin.
Ex. Bulag, pinakialaman nakakita, pilay
pinakialaman ng Diyos – nakalakad. Naglelevel up pala ang isang tao kapag pinakialaman ng DIyos.
Believe 1. That He exist.
2. HE will reward those – who believe – ang Diyos naggagantimpalan – dahil nag sesek ka earnestly sa Diyos.
O pamilya mo?
– ipinakiktia mo na you earnestly seek Him. – I preach the truth – You will be the one who live the truth. - Hear
the truth and the truth will set you free.
Romans 10:10 Faith Comes from hearing......
Yung iba pag
walang pera – hinahanap si bumbay. “Bumbay will make a way where there seems to be no way....... Tingnan mo
yang katabi mo ... may pangarap bay an??
2 A few days later, when Jesus again entered Capernaum, the people heard that he had come home. 2 They
gathered in such large numbers that there was no room left, not even outside the door, and he preached the
word to them. 3 Some men came, bringing to him a paralyzed man, carried by four of them. 4 Since they could not
get him to Jesus because of the crowd, they made an opening in the roof above Jesus by digging through it and
then lowered the mat the man was lying on. 5 When Jesus saw their faith, he said to the paralyzed man, “Son,
your sins are forgiven.”

Now some teachers of the law were sitting there, thinking to themselves, 7 “Why does this fellow talk like that?
He’s blaspheming! Who can forgive sins but God alone?”

Immediately Jesus knew in his spirit that this was what they were thinking in their hearts, and he said to
them, “Why are you thinking these things? 9 Which is easier: to say to this paralyzed man, ‘Your sins are
forgiven,’ or to say, ‘Get up, take your mat and walk’? 10 But I want you to know that the Son of Man has
authority on earth to forgive sins.” So he said to the man, 11 “I tell you, get up, take your mat and go home.” 12 He
got up, took his mat and walked out in full view of them all. This amazed everyone and they praised God, saying,
“We have never seen anything like this!”
Saan nagsimula – Sa pananampalataya..... Gumagalaw ang Diyos sa pananampaltaya. Paralized man – hindi
makagalaw....

1 | A c ti v a t e 3
Paano ba na–activate ang faith:
1A few days later, when Jesus again entered Capernaum, the people heard that he had come home.  2They
gathered in such large numbers that there was no room left, not even outside the door, and he preached the
word to them. 3Some men came, bringing to him a paralyzed man, carried by four of them. 4Since they could
not get him to Jesus because of the crowd, they made an opening in the roof above Jesus by digging through it
and then lowered the mat the man was lying on. 5When Jesus saw their faith, he said to the paralyzed
man, “Son, your sins are forgiven.”
ang daming tao – excuse me.... di sila pinapapasok ... puno na ... first come first serve..... minsan yung mga
nakikinig ang sagabal sa Kingdom of GOD .... kaya di makapasok yung paralized man.....
FAITH without works is dead. “Faitth
that works” – kapag wala kang pananampalataya malamang wala ako ggagawin.... kapag may pananampalataya
ako.... malamang may gagawin ako.
FAITH UNITES US.
FAITH PRODUCES UNITY, ONESS OR TOGETHERNESS or COOP.– yung apat nagkaisa sila why? May
pananampalataya. “Kaya di natin pwedeng sabihin – na kasama kita sa panampalataya pero di ka nakikiisa.....ex.
pamilya .. nag aaway – walang unity. Pag may unity may anointing.....NANINIWALA KA BANG MABABAGO ANG
PILIPINAS.
Ex. Yung
nanlilag ka may faith ka unstopabble. Ex. Trabaho – face challenges – sa nag-aaral – puro bagsak – hirap ng IT
vulcanizing na lang kaya – madaling umatras – YOU MUST BE UNSTOPABBLE. Taas ang kamay ng may
pangarap. Pag mayproblema – ano ang gagamitin, PANANAMPALATAYA kapag may pananampalataya may
SOLUSYON.
FAITH WILL MAKE YOU DO THE UNUSUAL – Ang mga mgay faith ang gumagawa ng unusual. Hindi business
unusual. Ex. Hanga ako dun sa isang tao – magtatrabaho then – mag sidel line pa ang daming ibinebenta – then
may business pa – ayun yumaman.
Ang mga may faith – harangan mo ikulong mo – they will find a way.
balik na tayo... sa may faith... no way men we will find a way..... ex. Babae – pag mayg aasawa kayo ang hanapin
nyo yung unusual....
Ex. Nanliligaw palang ako – unusual – dinaan ko sa panalangin – prayer is unusal act mo
FAITH WILL MAKE YOU RISK THINGS – risk things – risky – binutas ang bubong....babakbaki natin ang bubong
dito tayo dadaan
FAITH WILL MAKE OUT OF THE WORLD STRATEGY -

1. VISION - Dream

God always starts with a dream. Nothing happens until somebody starts dreaming. You've got to get an idea, a vision,
a goal, an ambition. You have to set your sights on some target. When God wants to work in your life He always
gives you a dream -- about yourself, about what He wants you to do, about the impact He's going to use your life in the
world.

There are many examples in the Bible of this.

God gave Noah the dream of building an arc.
God gave Abraham the dream of being the father of a great nation.
God gave Joseph the dream of being a leader that would save his people.
God gave Nehemiah the dream of building the wall around Jerusalem.
God gave David the dream of building the temple.

Nothing happens until you start dreaming.

How do you know when a dream is from God or when it's from yourself? Maybe you're just kind of thinking it up.
How do you know if it's God speaking or the lasagna you had last night? What is really causing this mood in my life?

Ephesians 3:20 "God is able to do far more than we would dare to ask or even dream of, infinitely beyond our highest
prayers, desires, thoughts or hopes."

2 | A c ti v a t e 3
A dream from God will require faith. If a dream comes from God, it will be so big in your life that you can't do it on
your own. If you could do it on your own, you don't need faith . If you don't have faith you're not pleasing God
because the Bible says, "Whatever is not of faith is sin."

God starts with giving you a dream. He's been speaking to many of you, you just didn't recognize it. That dream, that
idea, that concept, that thing that would really be of benefit to other people -- where do you think that idea is coming
from? It's coming from God.

God's Will will never contradict God's will. He is not giving you a dream of leaving your family and kids and moving
to Hollywood to be a star. That is not a dream from God. God's Will will never contradict God's Word. You have to
keep it in context.

But He starts with a dream. But that is only one stage along the line.

2. DECISION – Decision proves Determination and produces Action to bring Solution -- you begin to do
something about your dream.

Nothing is going to happen to that dream until you wake up and put it into action. You've got to make it work.
You've got to make the decision: "I'm going to go for it!" For every ten dreamers in the world there is only one
decision maker. A lot of people have dreams but they never get to Phase Two -- To make the decision to go for it.

James says "You must believe and not doubt because a double minded man is unstable in all that he does." Faith is a
verb -- it's active and not passive. It's something you do. Decision making is a faith building activity. You use your
muscles of faith.

During this phase -- the moment of truth in decision making -- you must do two things:

1) You must invest. It's a decision to invest.

a) Time
b) Money
c) Reputation
d) Energy

There is an investment stage in this Stage Two of decision making. You lay it on the line, take the
plunge. "God, You've told me to do this and I'm going to go for it!"

2) You have to let go of security.

You cannot move in faith and hold onto the past at the same time. You have to move forward. Let go.
Abraham: God said "I'm going to make you the father of a great nation." He had to leave his home for an unknown
destination.

Moses had to let go of the probability of him moving into the Pharaoh's position when he died. He let go of
that in order to do God's will. Nehemiah gave up a secure job in order to go build a wall around Jerusalem.

If you want to walk on water, you've got to get out of the boat.

The best example of this is a trapeze artist. They swing out on bars and then let go, grab the other bars
and swing to the other side. The bars are far enough away that you can't hang on to the first and grab
the other at the same time. At some point you have to let go of the first bar and grab on to the next one.
At a split second at some point they are up there holding on to neither.

They are suspended in air for a split second. Have you ever been there in a career? Where you're
leaving one job for another and nothing's in between? You're up there 180 feet above, no net below,
and holding onto nothing.

But if you don't let go and grab onto the vision God wants you to have, you swing back. Only you
don't swing all the way back. You just swing back lower and lower until finally it stops. And you're
hanging there and there's only one way out. Down.
3 | A c ti v a t e 3
God gives you a dream and you make the decision.

3. OBSTRUCTION - Delay doesn’t mean denial. It requires upgrading of FAITH.

God will not fulfill your dream immediately. God has not promised to today give you the dream and tomorrow fulfill
it. You can count on a time lapse always. There is always a delay, a waiting period.

Habbakuk: God says, "These things I plan won't happen right away. Slowly, steadily, surely, the time approaches
when the vision will be fulfilled."

In Phase 3 you start asking the "When?" question. "When, Lord? When are You going to answer my prayer?"
Americans hate to wait. We don't like to wait in doctor's offices, traffic jams, or restaurants or for Christmas presents
or for anything else. But what we hate worst of all is waiting on God. Have you ever been in a hurry when God
wasn't? Irritating. You're ready but God isn't. God wants to work on you before He works on the project. Every
believer in history has had to go through, eventually, the University of Learning to Wait. ULTW. Some of you have
not gotten your degree there yet.

Noah waited 120 years from the time he started building the arc until it began to rain. Abraham was told he would be
the father of a great nation and didn't have a child until he was 99. God told Moses he would be the leader to lead his
people out of 400 years of slavery and then makes him wait in the desert 40 years before it happens. Joseph spent
years in prison before God raised him up and he became the ruler God wanted him to be. God had David anointed as
king and then he waited for years until he actually got to be king. We go through these waiting periods. Even Jesus
came to be the Messiah of the world and waits for 30 years in the carpenter's shop.

Why do we wait? It teaches us to trust in God. We learn that His timing is perfect. One of the facts we have to learn
is God says delays never destroy His purpose. A delay is not a denial. Kids must learn the difference between "No"
and "Not yet". Big difference. Many times God says to you "Not yet" and you think He's saying "No".

A delay is not a denial. A delay never destroys God's purpose in your life.

The common reaction in this phase is doubt. We start doubting. "Maybe I missed God's vision".

How do you handle the Waiting Rooms of life? This reveals your faith. Once you start moving
through the Delay period you come to Phase 4.

4. COMPLICATION / FRUSTRATION Difficulty.

Not only do you get to wait, you get to have problems while you wait. Two primary kinds of problems:
Circumstances and Critics. (PANGYAYARE o PAGYAYARE) You can count on this. When God gives you a
dream there will be circumstances and barriers.

Moses had difficulty. He led the children of Israel out of Egypt into the desert to the Promised Land. He had one
problem after another. First there was no water. Then there was no food. Then there were a bunch of complainers.
Then there were poisonous snakes that bit many people. They had one problem after another. They were doing what
God wanted but they still had problems.

David was anointed king and then for the next several years he is hunted down by Saul and forced to hide in caves.

Joseph has a dream of becoming a ruler. He's sold into slavery. He's falsely accused of rape. He languishes there and
nobody knows he's there. Difficulties on top of delay.

Imagine the difficulties Noah had. How would you like to build a floating zoo. Imagine the difficulty that Abraham
will have in leaving his own country to trust that GOD will give Him a country of his own. See the difficulty in the life
of David in facing GOLIAT by faith. How Shadrac, MEshac, Abednego face the difficulty in disobeying the King in
worhshipping the kings image that they are ready to face death.

4 | A c ti v a t e 3
You have all kinds of problems that come along. The Bible says that when Moses died, Joshua was then appointed the
leader. Moses led the people across the desert. Joshua leads them into the promised land. The easy part? He leads
them into the promised land and the next verses it says "Now there were giants in the land." Even in the promised
land there are problems, because God is working on your faith and character.

Why does God allow this? I Peter, "At present you may be temporarily harassed by all kinds of trials. This is no
accident. It happens to prove your faith which is infinitely more valuable than gold."

Finally the difficulties become so bad, you've come to your limit, tried everything, exhausted all your options.

5. IMPOSSIBLE SITUATION - Dead End

The situation deteriorates from difficult to impossible. Hopeless, no way out, no alternatives left. SOMETIMES gusto
Upang TURUAN KA, HAMUNIN KA.

If you are at this stage, congratulations. You are in good company. Even Paul went through dead ends. "At that time
we were completely overwhelmed. The burden was more than we could bear. In fact, we told ourselves that this was
the end. Yet now we believe that we had this sense of impending disaster so that we might learn to trust not in
ourselves but in God who can raise the dead." If God can raise people physically He can raise people dead
emotionally. He can raise a dead marriage. He can resurrect a dead career. He can resurrect a health problem
and make it better. If God can raise the dead He can do anything.

In Abraham's situation, God said, "I want you to become the father of a nation" and then he waits until he's 99 years
old to have a baby. The Bible says it had gone from difficult to impossible. He looks at his body and says, No way!
Then he looks at his wife and says, Double no way! But Sarah got pregnant and they laughed about it. When the baby
was born they name him Isaac which means "laughter". This is a joke. We know that Sarah didn't believe God when
He told her she'd have a baby, because she laughed. If she had believed Him no woman at that age would have
laughed; she would have cried.

God often lets problems become impossibilities. The disciples planned to follow Jesus. They thought He'd be the
Messiah. And then the next thing they know He's hanging on the cross and dies. Dead end for the disciples. For three
days they went through a real dead end.

At this stage you start asking, "What's going on, God? Did I miss your will? Your plan? Have I missed God's vision?
Is it really something I thought up?"

The best example of this is when Moses led the Israelites out of Egypt. They'd been slaves for 400 years. Finally
Pharaoh, after 10 plagues, says "Get out of hear! Good riddance!" They take off. But one day later Pharaoh changes
his mind and starts coming after them. They are at the Red Sea, they have mountains on each side, the Red Sea in
front of them and the enemy nation in hot pursuit behind them, ready to kill them. God's cul de sac. There is no way
they're going to get out. I'm sure many of the people at that time complained that they should have stayed in Egypt
rather than die at the Red Sea.

Some people prefer bondage rather than risk. They'll put up with a bad situation that is not God's will rather than take
a risk and trust God on some situation. The risk to be open, the risk to free, the risk to confront a problem.

It's interesting that the place where they were hemmed in was called Baal-zephon. That means "God's hidden
treasure". They were exactly where God wanted them to be. If you are in a dead end, you are exactly where God
wants you to be. God knows where you are. He's got your number. He knows every hair on your head. He put you
in that dead end for a purpose.

"Dead ends are a part of God's plan for me." You will have many of them in life. You're just in Phase 5.

What's the best response to a dead end? I Corinthians "He has delivered us and will deliver us again." Psalm 27 says,
"I'm expecting the Lord to rescue me again so that once again I will see His goodness to me." Expect. Positive
expectation that God will lead you to Phase 6.

2 CORINTHIANS 5:7 For we walk by faith, not by sight.

5 | A c ti v a t e 3
6. GOD’S SOLUTION - DELIVERANCE

At the end, God comes in and delivers. God does a miracle. God provides a solution. This is what happens. In
Moses' case, God splits the Red Sea. In Abraham case, he and Sarah miraculously conceive a child. In Joseph's case,
all of a sudden his dream comes true and he finds himself from being imprisoned in the dungeon to being the second
in command in Egypt. Jesus was resurrected.

God loves to turn crucifixions into resurrections. Dead ends into deliverance. Because He gets the credit. He gets the
glory. NOTHING TO SOMETING,

The best response to a dead end is to expect God to act. What are you expecting God to do in your life? He's doing
what you expect Him to do. The Bible says "According to your faith it will be done unto you." When you wait for
deliverance then God gets the credit.

FAITH FOR THE NEXT GENERATION

Exo 3:15 The God of Your father God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.
Acts 16:31 Believe in the Lord Jesus, you will be saved. You and your household. (Package Deal)
Acts 11:40 He will bring you a message for you and your household to be save.
Household may tatay, nanay at anak.
Bakit nag iisip kayo ng kayo lang. Pag pamilyang Pilipino. May tatay, may annay, maty lolo.

blessing.[a] 3 I will bless those who bless you,    and whoever curses you I will curse;and all peoples on earth    will be

Malungkot maraming Christians because of tne ignorance of the Bible kapag di mo inalam ang Bible.... sa huli di ka
makakatupad sa mga alitintunin ng Diyos.

Nasubukan mo bang magpakadami pero wala kang kakayanan.

Against all hope, Abraham in hope believed and so became the father of many nations, just as it had been said to
him, “So shall your offspring be.”[a] 19 Without weakening in his faith, he faced the fact that his body was as good as
dead—since he was about a hundred years old—and that Sarah’s womb was also dead.

Christians has always a problem with Facts.

Abraham believed God that
He will be the Father of multitudes....Men says impossible... God says Possible with Me. Amen... Let’s do the journey
with GOD.... nothing is impossible.

ACTIVATE

HOW GOD ACTIVATE OUR FAITH

Heb.11:1– “Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.”

Eph.2:8– “for by grace have ye been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God;

God’s part of Salvation – “By Grace”

Man’s part of Salvation – “Through Faith”

Heb.11:1– “Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.”

What is Faith: Sa isang confortable environments, may trabaho, marayang pamilya, payapa ang pamumuhay,
With this real scenario in life how we will define Faith or Pananampalataya?
Na Ikaw ay magtitiwala na HE IS IN CONTROL.
7 | A c ti v a t e 3
“Promise Land” “Divine
Appointment” “Promotion” “Heaven” “Eternal Life” “Eternity”.

Faith is beginning to focus on the Agenda of Heaven instead of our
selfish agenda here on earth. Buti nalan may mga nangangaral. May nagsasalita. May hindi napapagod mag
share ng truth.

ITO PO yung istorya ng ating PANANAMAPALATAYA:

Rom.10:17– “So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.”

Heb.11:3– “By faith we understand that the worlds have been framed by the word of God, so that what is seen
hath not been made out of things which appear.”

“The faith tha saves is the faith that obeys” – Hindi lahant ng klase ng paniniwala makapagliligtas – hindi lahat
ng pinananampalatayanan natin maililigtas tayo.

Heb.5:8,9– “… he became unto all them that obey him the author of eternal salvation;”

Matt.7:21– “Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that
doeth the will of my Father who is in heaven.”

Lk.6:46; Jas.2:14-26; Heb.10:39; Heb.11; Jn.1:12

O Victorious
Christian living. Sino ulit ang magtatagygumpay ? Sila na nanampalataya, naniwala, nagpursigi sa kanilang
Pananamapalataya kay Hesus.

1 Jn.5:4,5– “4 For whatsoever is begotten of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that hath
overcome the world, even our faith. 5 And who is he that overcometh the world, but he that believeth that Jesus
is the Son of God?”

THE FAITH that overcomes the world is FAITH in JESUS CHRIST the SON of the LIVING GOD.

Produce by hearing GOD’s word = Romans 10:17 / In Christ as the as the SON of GOD – 1John 5:4-5

Which Leads us to obey ALL GOD’s command dapat habang tumatanda tayo ay humihigpit tayo sa ating
(What command?
Ano ang mga UTOS NIYA? Repentance of sins (Romans 10:10), Confession of Faith in Christ (Romans 10:10),
Decision to follow Christ (Acts 2:38, Mk 16:16)

8 | A c ti v a t e 3
ginahawa.

Heb. 11:6a “But without faith it is impossible to please him:” Kasi sa ating pananampalataya pwede nating
Meaning GOD want to BUILD OUR FAITH. TO ACTIVATE not to ELIMINATE IT. And it is
for sure builded in the difficult times of our life.

Heb. 10:38 “Now the just shall live by faith;…”

TO ACTIVATE OUR FAITH

The toughest and most discouraging trials are when we are called to obey God's will when the fulfilment of His
promise seems so far away. (Abraham need to wait 25 years before the Fulfilment of This is why we
need endurance. Faithfulness during the time when the promise seems unfulfilled is the measure of your
obedience and spiritual maturity.

i. This endurance is built through trials, the testing of our faith (James 1:2-4). My brethren, count it all joy when ye
fall into divers temptations; 3 Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience. 4 But let patience
have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing.
c. Now the just shall live by faith: We need to follow in the footsteps of the just who will live by faith, and endure
to see the promise fulfilled.

“Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.” Heb. 11:1

Substance = assurance, ground

Evidence = proof

“So then faith cometh by hearing and hearing by the word of God.” Rom. 10:17

• Biblical meaning of Faith

 Proper understanding of Bible

 Assured God will keep His word

 Trust based on evidence

 Faith = TRUST, rely on, believe

• 2.Man’s Definition is wrong

 Baptize

 “Dip into water or sprinkle with water” [Thorndike-Barnhart]

 Bible – Burial - Rm. 6:4

“A little faith will get you to heaven; a great faith will bring heaven to your soul.”

He replied, “Because you have so little faith. Truly I tell you, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can
say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.”
Mark 17:20

Kingdom of GOD what looks like?

Kingdom of heaven is like skycrape. Big Bold Huge

Kingdom of heaven is like???? Tree of Mustard

It is easy to live than to write down to your notes.

Show us what is the kingdom of GOD looks like: Tree

It is not it seems to be because it is spend a process.

Ive got a trees in my pocket. Potential, trees, healing, ex. Abraham I put seed, promise, potential, in you. Dont
judge a tree by being a seed. Can you see the tree in the seed? This is a question of faith.

Can you see a child in a barren womb.

Can you see a child in a barren womb.

Can you see a potential in a rebellious child.

It may happen not the way you want it to happen. Sometimes you need to plant your dream in the soil of your
faith.

When you plant it will grow. When you Peter have enough strength you will guide your bretheren ...You will
coming out of Your failure.... coming out bigger than before...

The seed in on schedule

Soil – strange place, you cannot see the real intention, our life is a seed, vision is a seed, faith is still working
when the process in invincible, bury in the soil of uncertainty but keep growing..... it stay in the soil until it
grows.....

GOD doesn’t made a table, a cabinet, a chair, a house..... GOD made a tree.

Why are you settled in something less when GOD plan for you the best.

FAITH FOR THE NEXT GENERATION

Exo 3:15 The God of Your father God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.

at Jacob (3 generation)

Acts 16:31 Believe in the Lord Jesus, you will be saved. You and your household. (Package Deal)

10 | A c ti v a t e 3

Acts 11:40 He will bring you a message for you and your household to be save.

Household may tatay, nanay at anak.

Bakit nag iisip kayo ng kayo lang. Pag pamilyang Pilipino. May tatay, may annay, maty lolo.

Package deal of blessing!!

Abram

Gen. 12:1

Genesis 12:1-3New International Version (NIV)

The Call of Abram

12 The LORD had said to Abram, “Go from your country, your people and your father’s household to the land I
will show you.

“I will make you into a great nation,     and I will bless you; I will make your name great,     and you will be a
blessing.[a] 3 I will bless those who bless you,     and whoever curses you I will curse; and all peoples on earth
will be blessed through you.”[b]

Malungkot maraming Christians because of tne ignorance of the Bible kapag di mo inalam ang Bible.... pero di
ka makakatupad sa mga alitintunin ng Diyos.

Nasubukan mo bang amgpakadami pero wala kang kakayanan.

Hebrew 11:6 Without faith it is impossible to please GOD. Because anyone who comes to Him must believe.

90 years old – menopause – Men Oppose – Malabo na 100 taon si Abraham, 90 y.0 ang abbae – Malabo

Romans 4:18-19New International Version (NIV)

18
Against all hope, Abraham in hope believed and so became the father of many nations, just as it had been said
to him, “So shall your offspring be.”[a] 19 Without weakening in his faith, he faced the fact that his body was as
good as dead—since he was about a hundred years old—and that Sarah’s womb was also dead.

Christians has always a problem with Facts.

Abraham believed God
that He will be the Father of multitudes....Men says impossible... God says Possible with Me. Amen... Let’s do the
journey with GOD.... nothing is impossible.

Wala...wala... wala... pero sabi ni Lord.....facts..... wala.....

11 | A c ti v a t e 3
Sarah I have a good news to you.... magkakababy na tayo.... ay

WHAT KILLS OUR ZEAL (PASSION)

BAKIT NAMAMATAY ANG INIT (ALAB) ZEAL PASSION FOR THE VISION

LUKE 17:1 “Woe to anyone whom offense would be coming.”

1. OFFENSE/ MISDEED/ CORRUPTION/ TRANSGRESSION
1 Samuel 10:1-5
Consultant – susultant
Ex. Mohammed Ali – Black Superman – Superman doesn’t need seatbelt – please buckle your seatbelt
Subject to humiliation.
Ex. Ibon sa new Zealand – 41% of the bird – they loose the capacity to fly. For a simple reasons – there are no
predators in New Zealand.
Lift factor – para umangat ang eroplano.
Pagdikit sa tamang tao – we must become a problem solver… we must know how to handle this offence in your
life…. Dapat nag lelevel up tayo… we become problem solver of our own.

2. DISAPPOINTMENT / MISFORTUNE
Are you appointed or disappointed
Ex. Apostle – discourage – of Jesus death – They expected that Jesus will rise a political kingdom
Disappointment / Discourage – feeling of dissatisfaction results from unfulfilled expectation. They are
expecting that the LORD will raise a political kingdom. They were discourage at the Road of Emmaus. Why are
you lonely?? Says the Lord
The Bible and God’s presence gives us assurance. There is assurance in the WORD. Joy and passion will be
restored back. Never missed [prayer life, worship life, cell life….etc.
Luke 24:32
3. INCONSISTENCY/DISAGREEMENT/ DISPROPORTION
Means – a person who is living a life of contradiction
What he believes is not compatible with their action. Gen. 49: first born of Jacob ex. Reuben- as a 1 st born
excelling in Honor and power. V. 4 Turbulent as water you will no longer excel. You went up to my couch ang
defiled it. (other version you are weak as water specially in area of sexuality) there in inconsistency in His life…
Your inconsistencies will affect your future…..
Reuben affect the character of GAD
Gad influenced by Reuben. Si GAD nasagad di nakarating sa destination
Nakakatakot kung ang kasama mo ay walang consistency – be careful of what you were with – this will affect
your consistency –
GAD SPIRIT – I can do spirit.
Genesis 49:4
4. BUSINESS/ FUNCTION/ ENGAGEMENT
3 klaseng tao – Busy, mukhang busy, nagbubusy busyhan.
Ex. Martha and Mary

12 | A c ti v a t e 3
Lk 10:38-39 – si Lord dumalaw kay Maria Martha at Lazarus with His 12 disciples. He came to the village to
thee home of Martha. She want to serve the LORD. When he making a Pie for the Lord… Mary suddenly believe
that she need to straighten up her priorities. Ex.
Keso. You and I are candidate to become a busybuddies. That is why even Sunday is being compromise, that is
why even training day is being compromise.

At the Home of Martha and Mary

38
As Jesus and his disciples were on their way, he came to a village where a woman named Martha opened her
home to him. 39 She had a sister called Mary, who sat at the Lord’s feet listening to what he said.

The trap of business never look a trap to a busy people.

What is the word that come before Martha -
What is the word that come before Mary – CALLED Mary
Intimacy with the LORD will make you fruitful and not business –
Martha trying to please JESUS trough HER business
Mary trying to make name for Herself
niyan.
We become busy not to be man preaser but to please GOD.
Not Busy sa King but busy sa KINGDOM.
Do not be busy publicly if you forget intimacy with the LORD.

5. MATERIALISM/OPPORTUNISM
John 12:4-6
John 12:4-6New International Version (NIV)

But one of his disciples, Judas Iscariot, who was later to betray him,objected, 5 “Why wasn’t this perfume sold
and the money given to the poor? It was worth a year’s wages. [a]” 6 He did not say this because he cared about
the poor but because he was a thief; as keeper of the money bag, he used to help himself to what was put into it.
Judas – a thief stealing from the money bag.
Materialism comes ….When things what we have had us…..ex.
Ex.
Spirit of
Devotion to material wealth and possession at the expense of the spiritual values, at the expense of intellectual
values.
It is deceiving… it is one thing that holds us. That because of materialism we became more selfish.
There is nothing wrong of being updated but right
Ex. Offer – to go to Europe…
Isaiah 55:1 Come all you who are thirsty, those who have no money buy and eat without money and without
cause.

13 | A c ti v a t e 3
katawan.
natural o organic diet. May gumagaling, mayroon ding namamatay.
tayong humiling at makiusap
PASTOR JOSEPH JUSAYAN

Currently enjoying a book about barn owls. The author points out an amazing fact why swallowing a whole rat
is beneficial to their health. They get their supply of nutrients from the entire rat with all its entrails. However,
when they are fed with choice pieces of rat meat, they die since it turns into a poison for them. And then I
thought of the importance of teaching on the whole counsel of God, why we need to be nurtured spiritually
from it.
The whole counsel refers to a balanced treatment of all the biblical teachings that we are being fed with. When
we teach on prosperity, we must balance it with the realities of poverty. With life, there is death. With healing,
there is suffering. Before the crown, there is the cross first. Focusing or specializing on a "pet" doctrine like the
health and wealth "gospel" without balancing it with the whole counsel of God could also become poison to the
hearers and could do more harm than good. Some have experienced a "shipwreck of faith" by feeding on this
single teaching alone. We should be cautious because much of the prosperity teachings that are being promoted
today is simply the so-called "American dream" sugar-coated in choice verses that tickle the ears! – PASTOR
JOSEPH JUSAYAN

"We must resist the temptation to believe that the church is a business in light of the insistence that there are
organizational and financial aspects to the church. The church does not sell products. The minister is not a
business man. The minister is a servant of Christ called to be His ambassador in a world that has turned its back
on Him." - Nicholas T. Batzig

GIFTED
GIFTED is a movie about a very cute young girl Mary (McKenna Grace) who is also a math genius as she enrolls
in grade one. Being used to home-schooling by her uncle Frank (Mike Evans), she didn’t like conventional
schooling. Enter the grandmother who feels strongly that the math whiz will be better off in a school for gifted
children outside of Frank’s simple home in Florida as he also acts as adoptive father to his niece who was
orphaned by his own sister who had committed suicide earlier. I can relate with the story line, being an orphan
myself (my mother died of an outbreak when I was six months old) and the gifts that I consider unique to
myself.
The church was also given numerous gifts by Christ, like the five-fold gifts of Ephesians 4, the various gifts of
Romans 12, and the gifts of the Spirit of 1 Corinthians 12. These gifts have been given to the church to serve
God’s people for His own purpose and glory. I believe that each one of us has a gifting that is simply ours alone,
and when given the chance to exercise it, will benefit the body of Christ. However, these unique gifts are either
suppressed or down-graded depending on the local body one is allied with. The problem with being a “genius”
is that most will either look at you as “nuts” or drive you off-the-cliff because you don’t belong therefore you
can’t belong. How many gifted young people who excel in their gifting have been pushed to the backdoor of the
church just because the leaders felt inferior and threatened by their potential? How many potential leaders
have been “aborted” due to insecure leaders who cling to their juicy positions as if the church would suffer if
they’re not there? How many gifts have been left “to rot in the field” because they were never acknowledged
and respected by the very recipients to whom they were sent?
One loud lesson that I got from this movie is the ability to spot the gift of the obvious. By this I mean that the
people close to her acknowledged her great potential and were so passionate to put her in a place where she

14 | A c ti v a t e 3
could shine brightly, but should be allowed to live like a normal ordinary child. I think, in this one the church
also fails. For instance, if a person has the ability to interpret and expound the scriptures, what could be the gift
of the obvious? The ministry of preaching and teaching! If a person was given tremendous wealth, what would
be the gift of the obvious? The ministry of giving and supporting ministers! But unfortunately, the tide has
turned. Those who have been called to preach and teach God’s Word are out there looking for money to support
themselves, while those who have been called to support God’s work because of their wealth have apparently
taken over the pulpit. What a misplacement of gifts!

If your generosity does not come from your heart, you have the worst kind of heart trouble." - Bob Hope

We were visiting some friends earlier today down in Bauan, Batangas. From the first hour since our arrival to
the last hour since we left, I was feeling a bit dizzy. then I came to realize that it was caused by a series of
aftershocks of yesterday's earthquake.According to Phivolcs, most of the aftershocks are undetectable by
simple feel. At around 3 PM, there was a magnitude 3 aftershock, I thought the ground was caving in, but it
never lasted past ten seconds. and then some more.
I could liken the aftershocks following an earthquake to the effects of rejection in one's life. I hate to say this but
I must admit that since day 1 of my conception, the rejection was there. It intensified in my growing up years,
while I was clawing my way through for survival. You can never imagine the aftershocks of rejection unless
you're a rejected child. Rejection is one of the devil's special tools to sow hatred, rebellion and murderous
thoughts in one's heart. For parents, never ever reject your son or daughter no matter what he or she had
become. The anti-dote to rejection is the unconditional acceptance of God's love. Even with this fact, the
aftershocks of rejection lingers on, but by God's grace, most are tolerable! – Pastro joseph Jusayan

May sarili
silang patakaran.
May sarili silang patakaran.
kanilang church group or ministry at naka-reflect sa CRASM.
bagay. Kaya ang Pastor (one who takes care of God;s flock) ng isang church ay Elder (spiritually advanced
person) din at isa ring Bishop (one who oversees God’s work or ministry).
CHESS BOARD!”

“And David was greatly distressed; for the people spoke of stoning him, because the soul of all the people was

Samuel 30:6 (KJV)

Faith being the key that unlocks all of the potential Jesus has placed in our hearts. Today, I want to take it a step
further and give a couple of techniques for receiving and activating its power. First of all, faith is a gift, so that
means that we can’t create it, we must ask for it. Corrie Ten Boom used to say, “If you have the faith, God has the
power.” That is very true, but even if we don’t have the faith, God still has the power, and there’s no better way
to tap into His limitless supply than by humbly requesting more. Once faith is received, it needs to be activated,
and there are a couple of things we can do to proactively engage it. First, we can stir it up. Have you ever made a
glass of chocolate milk and then left it in the refrigerator, only to come back and find it separated? I think the
same thing happens in our spiritual lives when our faith grows dormant — sometimes we have to shake it up to
see its fruit. I’m reminded of David and how the Bible says that he encouraged himself in the Lord. Likewise, we
stir our faith when we purposefully remember God’s goodness, boldly praise His Name, and passionately claim
His promises. Then, once we shake it up, we must also release it. Oral Roberts used to talk a lot about this, and
simply stated, it means that you put it into action. You release your faith when you stretch out your hand to
pray for someone or do something brave that requires you to overcome the fear of man.

16 | A c ti v a t e 3
My friend, there’s no more important time than this global crisis to build and activate your faith. With so many
precious souls grappling with hopelessness, our society needs your confident assurance in the goodness of God
now more than ever. When you place your trust in the unfailing love of your Savior, your life will offer an
alternative to the world’s attempts to find meaning and truth solely in the discoveries of man. As you walk in
the power and radiance of the Holy Spirit, His glow will illuminate your life and shine the hope of Jesus on all
who are blessed to cross your path

Summary: How do Christians activate their faith? We’re going to look at a couple of practical directives given to
us in James 2:14–26 that instruct us how we are to activate our faith.

How to Activate Your Faith

He was born in Columbus, Ohio, 1890, the third of eight children. At eleven he quit school to help with the
family expenses, and got his first full-time job at $3.50 per week. At fifteen he got interested in automobiles and
went to work in a garage at $4.50 a week. He knew he would never get anywhere without more schooling, so he
subscribed to a correspondence home study course on automobiles. Night after night, following long days at the
garage, he worked at the kitchen table by the light of the kerosene lamp. His next step was already planned in
his mind—a job with Frayer-Miller Automobile Company of Columbus.

One day when he felt ready, he walked into the plant. Lee Frayer was bent over the hood of a car. The boy
waited. Finally Frayer noticed him. “Well,” he said, “what do you want?” I just thought I’d tell you I’m coning to
work here tomorrow morning,” the boy replied. “Oh! Who hired you?” “Nobody yet, but I’ll be on the job in the
morning. If I’m not worth anything, you can fire me.” Early the next morning the young man returned to the
garage. Frayer was not yet there. Noticing that the floor was thick with metal shavings and accumulated dirt
and grease, the boy got a broom and shovel and set to work cleaning the place.

The rest of the boy’s future was predictable. He went on to a national reputation as a racing car driver and
automotive expert. In World War I he was America’s leading flying ace. Later he founded Eastern Airlines. His
name—Eddie Rickenbacker.

Mr. Rickenbacker believed he could make something for himself. That believe motivated him to act.

They Want To See God Work in New Ways They Must Be Willing to do New Things on SermonCentral.com)

This time of the year many people are deciding things that they believe. Some believe that they need to diet in
order to lose weight. Some believe they need to stop smoking in order to be healthier. There are some that
believe they would like to be in a marathon again.

But, one’s belief is only determined sincere by one’s actions. Three months into the year we will know who
really believed. We’ll see the one’s who believed that they needed to diet lose weight. We’ll see those who
believe they need to stop smoking actually stop. We’ll see if the individual that wants to run another marathon
actually continues running.

What do you believe in the beginning of 2003? With regard to your relationship with God the Father, Jesus His
Son, and His Holy Spirit what do you believe? How strong is your faith in 2003?

James 2:14–26th

We can say something about our beliefs or our Faith today, but will it match up with our actions three months
from now?

Faith without deeds is dead

Every Christian must have activity that corresponds with their beliefs in order to have true faith.

If a Christian is not exercising their faith by being active then they will not be considered righteous.

How does a Christian activate His/Her faith?

How do Christians activate their faith?

We’re going to look at a couple of practical directives given to us in James 2:14–26 that instruct us how we are
to activate our faith.

Keep in mind, we don’t adhere to a doing for the sake of doing, or a doing for the sake of repayment , we believe
we are to be a people who do things in response to what has been done for us. We are motivated to do things
because of the relationship we have with God… which is a two way relationship. He loves us and we respond to
Him.

How does a Christian activate their faith?

The first thing that a Christian does to activate their faith is:

1. They get involved with others (14–17)

This is something we’ve talked about before. Our need for involvement with others.

We’ve talked about how we were commanded to Go and make disciples and that the only way of seeing this
responsibility fulfilled would be to involve ourselves with people.

It’s a reoccurring theme that we will see through out God’s word because of the second greatest command.

“Love the Lord God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the first and
greatest commandment. And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ All the Law and the Prophets
hang on these two commandments.” Matthew 22:37–40.

In order to respond to God’s love for us in a way that God desires we need to involve ourselves with others. We
need to love others as we love ourselves.

From our text this morning we see that a person with active faith goes beyond the well wishes and desires to
help others and actively gets involved with others.

a. Explanation: Clarify it.

“Suppose a brother or sister is without clothes and daily food. If one of you says to him, “Go, I wish you well;
keep warm and well fed,” but does nothing about his physical needs, what good is it? “

For instance, let’s break this down into four simple steps.

Let me just say something before we go further with regard to these steps.

First thing, we are going to see numerous needs throughout our lives that people we come in contact with
directly or indirectly have. We’re going to have genuine desires for their needs to be met, but maybe we won’t
have the resources to meet their physical needs… maybe we won’t be physically able to meet their needs. One
thing we can always do is pray… we should always begin with prayer (turning to God for our dependence). And
we should end with prayer—praising Him for all things.

What James is talking about here is the individual who claims to be a devoted follower of Christ, who
Recognizes a need, who is in a position to help with that need (whether in prayer or physical assistance), who
commits to helping, but who responds negatively.

These steps are not meant to put people on an unecessary guilt trip. They are meant as a tool to grow your faith,
not to tear it down. Okay? With that said lets proceed.

1. We see a brother or sister is in need. (Recognition of God’s desires)

2. We state that we wish the need would be met (Commitment to God’s desires)

3. You do nothing to help them (Response to commitment)

4. It’s not good. (Reflection on response.)

Let’s Personalize this. This was the situation that I applied to my own circumstances:

1. I RECOGNIZE this communities’ need for Christ.

Something God has placed on my heart.

2. I make a COMMITMENT by communicating my desire to see the pre-Christians of this community come to
know the Lord.

I know that it is within my ability to act upon this recognition of need and I commit myself to it.

3. I RESPOND by doing nothing (I don’t invite these people to my home, to church… I don’t practice practical
ways to show the love of Christ to them)

If I react this way my response is not in line with my commitment.

4. I REFLECT, “Did I really mean what I said?”

If this was my response and I was honest with myself I would have to say that I didn’t really mean what I said.

My faith would be inactive.

When we say we believe something is important and we see it as our responsibility we should act upon that
belief, or else chances are we probably don’t really believe it’s all that important.

b. Exemplification:

Let’s look at some examples in the Bible that prove my theory of steps to be true.

i. Pharaoh and the Exodus

1. Exodus chapter 7–12. Makes me think of Pharaoh in the Exodus of the Israelites from Egypt. Pharaoh
RECOGNIZED the need for the Israelites to leave Egypt.

2. He even admitted 6 or 7 times that the God of the Israelites was the power behind the plagues that they were
experiencing. And He COMMITTED himself several times to the fact that the Israelites could go from Egypt.

Faith Activated
Romans 1:17
17 For in the gospel the righteousness of God is revealed—a righteousness that is by faith from first to last, just
as it is written: “The righteous will live by faith.”
Many people dream without GOD – they fail – If you dream with GOD – you will not fail.
19 | A c ti v a t e 3
We cannot please GOD without faith.
Anyone who come to Him must believe that HE exist.
ulo natin, yabang natin, kaastigan natin.
Ex. Bulag, pinakialaman nakakita, pilay
pinakialaman ng Diyos – nakalakad. Naglelevel up pala ang isang tao kapag pinakialaman ng DIyos.
Believe 1. That He exist.
2. HE will reward those – who believe – ang Diyos naggagantimpalan – dahil nag sesek ka earnestly sa Diyos.
Sino gusto ng reward? Man iwala ka – Sino gusting matupad ang pangarap niya – Earnestly seek Him
earnestly seek Him. –
I preach the truth – You will be the one who live the truth. - Hear the truth and the truth will set you free.
Romans 10:10 Faith Comes from hearing......
trabaho. Yung iba pag walang pera – hinahanap si bumbay. “Bumbay will make a way where there seems to be
no way... dumadaan nakamotor – uutangan ko siya....
Tingnan mo yang katabi mo ... may pangarap bay an??
4Since they could not get him to Jesus because of the crowd, they made an opening in the roof above Jesus
by digging through it and then lowered the mat the man was lying on. 5When Jesus saw their faith, he said to
the paralyzed man, “Son, your sins are forgiven.”
6Now some teachers of the law were sitting there, thinking to themselves, 7“Why does this fellow talk like
that? He’s blaspheming! Who can forgive sins but God alone?”
8Immediately Jesus knew in his spirit that this was what they were thinking in their hearts, and he said to
them,“Why are you thinking these things? 9Which is easier: to say to this paralyzed man, ‘Your sins are
forgiven,’ or to say, ‘Get up, take your mat and walk’? 10But I want you to know that the Son of Man has
authority on earth to forgive sins.”So he said to the man, 11“I tell you, get up, take your mat and go home.” 12He
got up, took his mat and walked out in full view of them all. This amazed everyone and they praised God, saying,
“We have never seen anything like this!”
Saan nagsimula – Sa pananampalataya..... Gumagalaw ang Diyos sa pananampaltaya. Paralized man – hindi
makagalaw....
Paano ban a – activate ang faith:
“Faitth that works” – kapag wala kang pananampalataya malamang wala ako
ggagawin.... kapag may pananampalataya ako.... malamang m ay gagawin ako.
FAITH UNITES US.
FAITH PRODUCES UNITY, ONESS OR TOGETHERNESS or COOP.– yung apat nagkaisa sila why? May
pananampalataya. “Kaya di natin pwedeng sabihin – na kasam kita sa panampalataya pero di ka nakikiisa.....ex.
pamilya .. nag aaway – walang unity. Pag may unity may anointing.....NANINIWALA KA BANG MABABAGO ANG
PILIPINAS.
Ex. Yung
nanlilag ka may faith ka unstopabble. Ex. Trabaho – face challenges – sa nag-aaral – puro bagsak – hirap gn IT
vulcanizing na lang kaya – madaling umatras – YOU MUST BE UNSTOPABBLE. Taas ang kamay ng may
pangarap. Pag mayproblema – ano ang gagamitin
