Dear Coach X,

My name is X and I am a sophomore at X school in X city. I am writing to invite you to come

watch me play in the X Tournament in X City on X dates for the Little Illini U16 Premier team.
My jersey number is 4 and I play forward/midfield.

I have contacted you previously to let you know of my interest in playing for X team name at X
University. As a brief review of my previous letter, I have been playing soccer since the age of
five and my desire, skill and love of the game only increase with every season. I hope to be able
to continue building on my skills and love of the game by playing at the college level. Maybe
write something specific about the soccer program here. Academically I am interested in
pursuing a degree in Kinesiology/Athletic Training and X University has a great program. This
combination puts X University as one of my top choices for continuing both my education and
soccer career.

I realize that you are very busy and can only make a limited number of tournaments, but I hope
