Taking note of these information will help one to be organized. You must keep track of your interview
schedule, and you must also be aware of your application progress from different companies. This can
get a little tricky if you have applied for a lot of companies, and so keeping track of the above stated
information will help.

 PREPARING FOR YOUR VIRTUAL INTERVIEW:

1. SETTING UP YOUR INTERVIEW STATION

- Prepare computer / gadget, mic, and camera

o Update everything
o Charge other gadgets (e.g. Bluetooth mic, etc).
- Ensure good internet connection
- Well-lit place
o Also, if your are doing a virtual interview, be mindful of your background scene,
that is, make sure that your interview station is overall professional-looking.
- When preparing the interview station, make sure that the chosen area will have nothing
that will cause background noise once the interview commences.
- Minimal noise
- CONDUCT A TEST-RUN

2. FIRST IMPRESSION COUNTS

- Be ten minutes early for your appointment, whether physical or virtual.
o Make sure that your gadget is fully charged.
o Make sure that everything is already set-up.
 APPROPRIATE INTERVIEW ATTIRE
- This will generally depend on the INDUSTRY or the position that you are applying for.
1. AVOID LOUD COLORS AND FLASHY PRINTS
- You do not want to be remembered for your attire instead of your credentials or
performance.
- Just go with the usual professional or corporate attire.
- Be sure that you are comfortable with your attire
- For men, if you will opt for a polo, make sure that all the buttons are done.
- Statement shirts should overall be avoided.
- DRESS FROM TOP TO BOTTOM TO FEEL COMFORTABLE AND TO BOOST YOUR
CONFIDENCE.
- It is best to wear completely as if you are going to an actual interview.

 CHECK YOUR MANNERISMS

1. ANSWERING PHONE CALL
- Never answer calls that come during the interview. In other words, do not disrupt the
interview.
2. SLOUCHING
- Avoid this because it implies lack of confidence
3. FIDGETING
4. FIXING HAIR OR BANGS
- It is distracting for applicants to be fixing their hair every so often during interview
5. PLAYING WITH PENS OR ANYTHING THAT CAN CAUSE DISTRACCTION
6. LACK OF EYE CONTACT
- This can be a bit tricky during virtual interview because you tend to look at the screen. It
is therefore ideal to look at the lens more often so that you would seem to be making an
eye contact with the HR.

 ANSWERING INTERVIEW QUESTIONS

1. RESEARCH: MAKE SURE THAT YOU DID YOUR RESEARCH ABOUT THE COMPANY
- EMPLOYER
o Find the type of company that you would like to work for.
- COMPANY
o Make sure it is LEGEL. Read their company background or profile.

 WHAT THEY OFFER
 WHO THEIR CLIENTS ARE
 THEIR MISSIONS AND VISIONS

2. COMMON INTERVIEW QUESTIONS:

SOMETHING THAT YOU HAVE ALREADY INDICATED IN YOUR RESUME.

- Why did you take-up your major?
- What are your strengths?
- What are your weaknesses?
- What other companies have you applied for?
- What is your expected salary?
- What do you know about the company?
- NOTE:
o Try to record yourself answering these questions (except the last), and then
show it to someone close to you and ask for their honest opinion about it.
