Lesson
Summary:
During the week we have been talking about different parts of the body and having the children
label them during circle time. Ms. A has found a robot song on YouTube that helps children to label
their part of their bodies while dancing along like a robot.
Estimated This activity should not take longer than 5 minutes. I plan on playing this video/song on the smart

Just smart board and a big enough space for the children to spread out on the floor.

Instructional Procedures:

Day 1: During circle time we will discuss different body parts on animals and people and compare.

Day 2:During circle time we will do a little bit of dance and movement and that is when I will use the smart board to
complete the task of the Robot dance and movement.

needs of gifted or accelerated students: For the one’s that maybe accelerated we could go into details and talk about
what each part of those body parts that are being talked about in the song does for them.
Discuss additional activities you could do to meet the needs of students who might be struggling with the material:
Some children might think it may be a little too loud or too much going on say I could also create flash cards for the
children to help them label each part of their body during the song while it plays for the other children

Vocabulary: Head, Arm, Foot, Neck, Toes, Back, Freeze.

For teachers Smart Board, YouTube, and Area big enough for children to move around.

For students If they would like to complete activity at home all they would need is YouTube.
