ANALYSE:

HARMONY- This mural is created between Pantai Hiburan that blended together because it
give visitor as attraction and message. MOVEMENT - As you look, big blue marlin fish want
jump out from the ocean because hooked by someone and to the repeated crack is curvy and
jagged lines that make up the situation more accurate with visitor sit on the boat then hold the

this mural is blue marlin fish emphasis the whole artwork. The main that you draw first blue
marlin fish is emphasized from the foreground back in the upper right is the boat and crack
hole then as background is the ocean .
INTERPRETATION:

‘Make it Clean’ is for SWCORP Pahang task given to Rushdi Ahmad for program 1S1T by
using blue marlin fish landmark in Rompin, Pahang as subject matter in mural painting Pantai
Hiburan and colour used to create visual movement and energy. He used measure the
perspective to create an energetic and magical 3D effect when people see the artwork. Rushdi
Ahmad is devoted himself in mural area by emphasizing blue marlin fish with the contrast of
cool colours and creating visual with his crack hole for the impact. The feeling of excitement
of optical illusion when visitor see this mural, almost make visitor feel likes go into this mural
and hooked the big blue marlin fish jump out from the hole rapidly then the visitor can enjoy
this artwork by taking a picture with this mural. The contrast in colours and line between the
floor and crack hole effect give new feel and attraction at Pantai Hiburan Rompin.

JUDGMENT:

Similarities
They are public art in the best sense, because they are actually created in public, with the
community looking on. Both creates mural art that transforms the environment and
communities as well. 3D mural art should involve, challenge and inspire the viewer; not simply
adorn, but integrate with its architectural surroundings. Rushdi Ahmad uses depth holes on the
floor with jagged crack line and jump out from the floor while Manfred Stader artwork uses
long curve water stream across the floor. Manfred Stader has placed emphasis on water stream
as main attraction for public, by making it brightest area and depicted crocodile as background
, while Rushdi Ahmad uses emphasis blue marlin fish by making it main attraction because
Rompin landmark itself at Pantai Hiburan. Finally, both artworks create a sense of depth use
nature as their subject, and transport for visitor in the mural to give 3D experience while taking
picture.
Differences

Both artworks have a different purpose, a different kind of effect on the lives of those who see
them. Manfred Stader uses the water stream make visitor then drift into inside the floor, while
Rushdi Ahmad make the blue marlin fish jumping outside. Moreover, Manfred Stader the dark
lines surround the mural to create depth but more curve than jagged crack that practice by
Rushdi Ahmad mural. Rushdi Ahmad give a sort of feel in mural catch the blue marlin fish
while Manfred Stader make visitor feel that crocodile is waiting down there mixed feeling
between excitement and panic.

Compare/Contrast Your Interpretation Of Both

The both mural in public but in term of content itself is different, the artists’ interpretation of
color and flow in mural create optical illusion. Manfred Stader has strokes and colors used
more aggressive because of drifting, while Rushdi Ahmad s work seems enjoyment in content
for visitor.

Your Opinion

I think both artists have successfully used color and movement to express a feeling or content
and balance the composition by blend in real world in the composition, give your eyes on 3D
concept and optical illusion then attraction in that place.

3) CONTEXT

From interview with Rushdi Ahmad, this project for SWCORP Kuala Rompin,Pahang in
programme 1 Supervisor 1 Transformation Area (1S1T) and he get this project by his friends
who work with SWCORP Kuala Rompin that acknowledge him as who usually making mural

KPI", which aims to ensure sustainable service quality meets key service KPIs by cheering
with stakeholders and improving services, thereby creating a clean, safe and safe environment
for the well-being and satisfaction of customers and new attraction. According Rushdi Ahmad
this project need meeting within 3 days about the design and 3 days for mural then the meeting
is run smoothly, the total days is 6 days. He stated that the technique that been used to produced
this mural is projector to project the images, grid for guideline and rendering as usual. For
Encik Rushdi Ahmad, he said that about perspective community toward mural “ The more in
high regard. The more appreciated. But it has not spread yet. Maybe because people think the
price is unaffordable, but absolutely not right. Mural can be in every single house.”
