B. Analysis
“Based on our activity, we will discuss
and differentiate the purpose of
communication”
(the teacher will show the illustration of
the activity and will discuss the 3 Purpose
of communication)

1. Informative
 The main purpose of informative
or expository communication or
writing is to sample convey
information factually.
 Its goal is to input new learning,
enhance prior knowledge, confirm
a concept, alleviate
comprehension of an idea, or
explain a process or procedure.
2. Persuasive
 Persuading to understand what one
is trying to communicate.
 It has one core purpose: get the
reader, viewers, listeners, audience
to support, believe and act
according to what the presenter is
trying to imply.
3. Argumentative
 Includes the art of persuading
based on reasons, facts and not
emotions.
 The primary focus is to give and
affective debate and convinced the
audience to change their views and
accept new point of view based on
facts, proofs, and in reasoned way.
C. Abstraction
“Alright, now that you have just learned
the purpose of communication.”

“So, what is the 3 purpose of

communication. Yes, Charles?”

“Great job, Charles! How about the “Ms. it is Informative, Persuasive and
meaning of Argumentative? Jonas?” Argumentative.”
“Ms. Argumentative focus is to give and
affective debate and convinced the
audience to change their point of view.”
“Wow! You really did listen well, Jonas!
Well, how about you Daniel, What is the
meaning of persuasive? And could you
please give an example?
“Ms. Persuasive form its root word. To
pursue. Meaning they are convincing the
audience or readers to agree with their
idea or concept. For example, I love
playing drums. So I record myself while
playing the drums. After that I uploaded it
on my social media account and I caption
my experience and encourage other to try
playing drums.”
“Amazing! I did not expect that coming.
Daniel. Alright, next, what is the meaning
of informative? Yes, Merphil?
“Informative to simply convey or to share
a specific idea or information to the reader
or listeners.
“Can you now differentiate the purpose of
communication? Arjay?
“the purpose of communication is
Informative, persuasive and
argumentative. The informative or
expository communication or writing is to
sample convey information factually.
Persuasive form its root word persuading
to understand what one is trying to
communicate. Lastly, Argumentative is to
give and affective debate and convinced
the audience to change their views and
accept new point of view based on facts,
proofs, and in reasoned way.”
“Thank you very much Arjay! I know that
all of you now have learned many things
today. That in communication these 3 are
very important. We can use it for school
purposes, church purposes and even in our
personal lives.”
