A Detailed Lesson Plan in Oral Communication


Grade 11-Senior High School
September 26-29, 2022

Target Learners: Grade 11


Number of Hours: 1 Week (3 hours)

Grade Level Standards: The learner understands the nature and elements of oral
communication in context. The learner designs and performs effective controlled and
uncontrolled oral communication activities based on context.

Learning Competency: Uses various strategies in order to avoid communication


breakdown.
I. Objectives
At the end of the lesson, the students will be able to:
a. Identify the various barriers to communication;
b. Explain the Six Strategies to Avoid Communication Breakdown;
c. Create a role play where the barriers and strategies to avoid
communication breakdown is observed; and
d. reflect on their learning on the fundamentals of communication.

Topic : Barriers to Communication; Six Strategies to avoid
