What is the contract strategy for this Req ? Generally the pre t/a scaffold
1 contract is based on cost per M3 & t/a scaffolding is based on a reimbursable
man / material rate (daywork).
In CSO Requisition, the total amount of scaffolding to be installed for work
activity is based on the amount of M3 and material cost (from installation to
demolition) for installation work during pre T/A and correction work during
T/A and demolition after completion of T/A.

There is not sufficient information or detail to bid this work in this doc. In the CSO Requisition document, only the work activities were described, and
the quantity have been calculated through on-site confirmation with a bidder.

Work packs prepared by the preparation team or by the mechanical contractor
would detailthe precise scaffold requirements, location, elevation, approx
dimensions etc.
The scaffold contractor would be responsible for installing the most economic
scaffold for each specific work pack to provide safe access for the work to be
carried out. This could be for example a scaffold erected from grade, a hanging
scaffold, a scaffold erectedfrom an existing structure or platform or an
extension to an existing scaffold.
3 What type of scaffold is proposed ?
Conventional tube & fittings or quick fix type ?
What is the proposed method for transporting the scaffold materials to the
work front(crane, hoist, pulley wheel etc) ?
In CSO, scaffold installation work will be done together with the team that
performs the mechanical works, so that the required location, size, time, etc.,
will be decided to increase work efficiency and to minimize the loss.
The CSO will check the site according to the work activity and install the most
efficient and safe form of scaffolding.
COS will use TUBE & FITTING basically. Quick fix type is only partially used in
the ground area where safety is secured
In COS, the basic method is to use a crane to move and load materials to the
location where scaffolding is required. The pully wheel is used for scaffolding
installation work on the upper part of the place where the material is loaded
