An Online observation of online
synchronous teaching

The online class observation process is designed to support the faculty in

their teaching. The process provides an opportunity for faculty to reflect on
their teaching and, in collaboration with the observer, assess both teaching
skills and learning outcomes. Synchronous learning refers to all types of
learning in which learner(s) and instructor(s) are in the same place, at the
same time, in order for learning to take place. This includes in-person classes,
live online meetings when the whole class or smaller groups get together.
An observation of a video-lesson
that is SLM-based or MELC-
aligned

A video lesson or lecture is a video which presents educational

material for a topic which is to be learned. Video lessons or
asynchronous instruction helps the learners to keep up with the
classes. It is flexible because the learner/s can watch the
video/replay any time he/she is available.
An observation of a demonstration
teaching via LAC

A classroom observation is an act of watching a teacher's performance in

their classroom or learning environment. Classroom observations are a
quantitative way of recording and measuring teacher behavior and mastery by
systematically watching and recording them in action. In this way, the
teachers serve as the students within the class. This helps new teachers to get
teaching strategies and how to execute more effective classes.

Activity Sheets

An activity sheet is commonly a piece of paper with questions or activities.

Learners can either place their answers or perform the specific activity. In
addition to that, the activity sheet is also used to record the activities done by
a person, a group of people, a family, or an organization. The learner is able
to improve a lesson through activity sheets. This is additional work for
learners.

module

These modules are self-contained unit or package

of study materials for use by individual, most useful for
adult learners, graduate and undergraduate levels. It provides
a learning activity to learners when a group education or
individual education session is not possible.
Lesson Plan (e.g. DLP, DLL,
WHLP, WLP, WLL, Lesson
Exemplars, and the likes)

A lesson plan is a teacher's detailed description of the course of

instruction or "learning trajectory" for a lesson. A daily lesson
plan is developed by a teacher to guide class learning. In
addition, the teacher also uses the WHLP provided to
parents/guardians which serves as their guide in their children’s
learning.
Video Lesson

A video lesson or lecture is a video which presents educational

material for a topic which is to be learned. Video lessons or
asynchronous instruction helps the learners to keep up with the
classes. It is flexible because the learner/s can watch the
video/replay any time he/she is available.
Audio Lesson

Audiovisual education or multimedia-based education (MBE) is

instruction where particular attention is paid to the audio and
visual presentation of the material with the goal of improving
comprehension and retention. This is one of the modalities used
in teaching learners during a pandemic. Some of our leaners
who cannot use gadgets or online connections can still learn
through it.
Other learning materials in
print/digital format

Learning materials refers to one of four elements of integral self-

evaluations — in addition to neuroticism, self-efficacy, and self-
esteem. ... Learning materials can also include online resources,
videos, and other interactive materials that
reinforce course content. Some of these are teacher-made
activity sheets and Power Point lessons that the teacher uses as
additional teaching tools to the learners.

Performance Task

A performance task is any learning activity

or assessment that asks learners to perform to demonstrate
their knowledge, understanding and proficiency. It is an
additional task of the learners to further assimilate their
knowledge in a lesson.
Quiz or Test

A quiz is usually a short test, and often doesn't have a huge

impact on your grades as a test has. Some teachers may even not
use the quiz grade at all to determine your course
grade. Quizzes are often several times given by teachers
throughout a course. This is done by learners so that the teacher
knows if they are learning anything from their lessons.

Lecture/discussion

Discussion is important to learning in all disciplines because it

helps our learners process information rather than simply receive
it. Leading a discussion requires skills different from lecturing.
The goal of a discussion is to get our learners to practice
thinking about the course material.
Activity Sheets

An activity sheet is commonly a piece of paper with questions or activities.

Learners can either place their answers or perform the specific activity. In

Rubric for assessing performance
using criteria that appropriately
describe the target output

A rubric is an explicit set of criteria used for assessing a

particular type of work or performance and provides more
details than a single grade or mark. Rubrics, therefore, will help
you grade more objectively. It is used in additional tasks and
group tasks where criteria are scored.

Teacher-parent conferences give you an opportunity to increase

communication between school and home,
keep parents informed about their child's progress, and develop
a plan for the student's future. You'll find excellent advice
to help you prepare for these meetings. It is conducted quarterly
for announcements from the school and feedback on the past
quarter.
Any form of communication to
parents/stakeholders

Effective communication builds understanding and trust. And when

you and parents understand and trust each other, you'll all be better
able to work together to support children's wellbeing and
development. To parents/guardians who are able to connect to the
internet, the teacher sends the messages through group chats and

for the concepts that must be mastered in each grade.
They might also be used to see where a particular student,

Committee Involvement

Our community is with us in promoting the learning

of our learners. Conducting programs that include
parents/guardians such as seminars that can help
them even when they are in their homes is a big
thing.
Advisership of co-curricular
activities

An advisory is a regularly scheduled period of time, typically

during the school day, when teachers meet with small groups of
learners for the purpose of advising them on academic, social, or
future-planning issues. It enables our learners to improve their
skills in the field of extra-curricular activities such as arts,
singing, dancing, and sports.
Involvement as module/learning
material writer

Making child learning materials like SLM, SLK, and

Big books will help the learners because we are able
to provide other activities that they can use in their
learning.
Coordinatorship/chairspersonship

Education coordinators, also called instructional coordinators,

work in a variety of fields to develop learning programs for
students or employees. They evaluate the existing curriculum at
a school or within a company training program, and they
develop innovative solutions to improve student and worker
outcomes.
Mentoring pre-service teachers

The mentoring of beginning teachers is a critical component of

the induction of new teachers into the profession. It makes
necessary connections between theory and practice, supports the
professional and personal growth of beginning teachers and
provides professional-development opportunities for the mentor
teacher.
Participation in the RO/SO/School-
initiated V-/rad-based instruction

This helps us to improve our teaching and also to master

the various modalities that we can use with our learners
especially during a pandemic when we are not with them
at school.
Participation in demonstration
teaching

Teacher demonstrations are important because they:

provide learners with experiences of real events,
phenomena and processes, helping them learn. raise
students' interest and motivation.
Participation as research presenter
in a forum/conference

Presenting my study is perhaps as important as

conducting it, because this is how most people will be
able to understand my procedures, discuss results, offer
feedback, and take my work a step further.
