What is Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR)?
Corporate social responsibility (CSR) is a self-regulating business model that helps a
company be socially accountable — to itself, its stakeholders, and the public. By
practicing corporate social responsibility, also called corporate citizenship, companies
can be conscious of the kind of impact they are having on all aspects of society including
economic, social, and environmental. To engage in CSR means that, in the normal
course of business, a company is operating in ways that enhance society and the
environment, instead of contributing negatively to them.
Referring to the above, you are required to prepare the following documents for a selected CSR
project:
a) Introduction: Objectives of the CSR project
b) Prepare a permission letter to the management of the selected CSR project
c) Conduct a meeting and prepare minutes of meeting for the CSR project
d) Prepare a formal email to inform the internal and external stakeholders about the CSR
project and meetings
e) Conclusion: Outcome of the entire CSR project
INSTRUCTIONS:
1. Font type and size: New Times Roman/Size 12 The assignment must be done
individually and must be entirely your own work. Please ensure that you are aware of the
rules pertaining to plagiarism.
2. The assignment should exhibit formal writing skills i.e. introduction, discussion and
conclusion.
3. The assignment must include references and appendixes.
4. The assignment write up must be able to demonstrate critical analysis and application of
both theory and practical issues to the company that you have selected.
5. Your assignment should not be more than 2500 words.
