PRESSURIZATION CONTROL- ADJUSTMENT/TEST

1. General
A. This section provides information required to conduct operational tests on pressurization control
system.
CAUTION: You must remove the piccolo tube and put a cap on the barometric
pressure switch before a cabin pressure test is done with a pressure
test cart. This is necessary to prevent damage to the oxygen system
barometric pressure switch (S28). Install the piccolo tube assembly
again after the test is complete.
2. Tools and Equipment
A. For a list of tools and equipment, refer to Air Conditioning - General.
3. Cabin Pressurization Built-In Test
A. Preflight EXER Mode Test.

function (i.e., DIAG, CALB and TIME).
(6) Press EXER to activate selected function.
(a) DIAG Function.
NOTE: When air data computer information is interrupted, controller (UI002)
automatically switches from auto control to isobaric control.
1 Set cabin altitude on controller with or without bleed air and observe solenoid drive,
solenoid current and actual outflow valve operation.
2 Make sure that the green (climb) or red (dive) solenoid indicator light on lower
right display face of controller illuminates when controller allows current through
the respective solenoid.
3 Make sure that the red current indicator light on the top left display face of the
controller comes on when the climb or dive solenoid draws current.
NOTE: If there is no indication on the controller display, and the red light is on in
the top left corner of the controller face, the controller has an internal fault.
Refer to Table 501.
