Lesson Plan in

kindergarten
I. Objectives: At the end of the lesson, the learner must
have:
a. Recognize his/her body parts and their uses.
b. Demonstrate movement using body parts.
c. Propose some ways to take care of one’s body.
II. Subject Matter: Science
Topic: Body parts and their uses.
References: Kindergarten Curriculum Guide
Materials: toys or books, flash cards, music and
model.

Eyes
These are used to see things.

Mouth
We use this when we eat our food.

We used this when we are doing
things or we have to grab some
things.

Feet
We used these when we walk.

nose
We use this when we want to smell
things.

Knee
We used this to bend or when we
want our body to go upward or
downward.

shoulder
This is used to move our arms.

Body Balancing
Directions: have a toy, towel or book.
Let children balance this in their parts
of the body.

Example: balance the toy, towel or


book in your head, shoulder, knees
and feet.

Crazy Body Parts


Direction: Play a song and when the
song is playing children would dance
in the room but when the music
stops, present a flash card and the
children will touch their classmates’
body parts.

III. Evaluation Assessment

Paint me a picture

Directions: Have your students group together. Have a list of


different scenarios where a person uses her body. Let
children act this out. Give them 1 minute to prepare and if
the 1 minute is up all students freeze.
