SUBJECT: Modified Maximum FL Altitudes in Russian Departures

Cycles: 2013 and subsequent – Effective Date 3 December 2020

Dear Valued Customer,

Due to a limitation in many Honeywell Flight Management Systems’ Navigation Database (NavDB) formats, the
maximum allowable altitude is FL521 (52,100 feet). In cycle 2013, there are eight departures coded in Russian
airspace where this maximum was exceeded. These were coded with a maximum upper window constraint of “At
or Below” FL540 at fix RANTO. Anything above 51,000 feet is above the capability of the aircraft Honeywell
NavDBs support. Therefore - with the approval of the Type 1 LOA Data Suppliers - Honeywell has lowered this
upper limit to “At or Below” FL521.
