Preface 前 言
我们编辑此书的目的,是呈现给大家一些独特的设计思路和方法。为此,我们选取了一些具有代表性的建筑
作品。它们来自不同国家和地区,涵盖了多种设计风格。
孩子们是这些建筑的使用者,也是最有发言权的建筑的主人。本书中很多项目的建筑师在设计期间,曾多次
带着他们的初稿走访了当地的学生、老师、儿童看护员和儿童心理学家,从中获取了灵感,并不断改进了他们的
设计。一位建筑师曾这样说:“它只有一个普通的外表和一个简单的空间。有的人会认为它很丑陋,但是孩子们
喜欢它,愿意和它在一起。”这种理念是令人敬佩的,在适合的地方,建造合适的建筑。然而做到这一点并不容易。
可以说每个建筑都有它的地域特点和文化传承,本书所选取的项目都很好地将这些结合在一起,而且多元化
的设计风格也诠释了不同的设计理念。有的强调布局简单而灵活的空间;有的注重色彩搭配,建筑外观明亮、轻
快;有的注入了新的元素,创造了一个休闲、舒适的建筑空间。这些旨在启发孩子的创造力和想象力。

We aspire to present to readers peculiar design trains of thoughts and approaches by compiling this book. For this, we
select quite a lot of representative architecture works. They come from many different countries and districts, covering
multiple design styles.
Children are the users of these buildings and are the masters of them who have the say. During design process, many
architects of projects included in this book take their first drafts to visit local students, teachers, nursing staff and children’s
psychologists, acquiring inspirations from them and improving their design constantly. An architect once said, “It only
has ordinary appearance and simple space. Someone might say it is ugly. But children like it and would like to spend time
inside.” We should show respect for this philosophy – to build appropriate building in appropriate location. But it is hard to
achieve this.
We can say that every building has its regional characteristics and cultural inheritance. All the projects included in this book
combine these elements well. And diversified design styles interpret different design concepts. Some design emphasizes
space with simple but dynamic layout. Some design focuses on color collocation, with bright and brisk architectural
outlook. Some design instills new elements into the building, creating relaxing and comfortable architectural space. All
these are aimed at arousing children’s creative power and imaginations.

entities where typologies, materials and asserted colours produce
a reading which is simple, plural and sequential at the same
time. Aligned on the passage, the superposition of monolithic
volumes of stone anchors the project at the level of the public
space. It receives the administration, the service premises and
the technical parts. Stretched to the back of the lot, a second
body which is widely glazed, weaved and coloured, welcomes the
spaces for the children. In the corner that takes form therefore,
opens an exterior protected area. A place asserts its temper by
either the dialogue and the interweaving of the architecture, or
the material opposition and the colour complementarity.

如何通过建筑这种艺术来呈现一个符合所处环境、具有功
能性而又极具美感的作品呢?人们想象中的完美的建筑应
该让人倍感亲切,在稠密的城市区的中心位置寻觅一处“能

Central to this architecture is the serpentine circulation spine, stretching from
the street through to the very rear of the site and wrapped in a serigraphed
glass cladding that provides a game of transparency and reflection. The
bamboo stem motif cheekily mimics the true landscaping works throughout
the project: the vegetablised party walls, grassy mounds on the first floor and
the educational garden on the third. This last space allows the two apartments
(one for the guardian, the other for the school’s principal) to be pulled back
from the street facade, recreating an urban setting three floors above road
level.

School

such as administration, pedagogic room, art, library , computer classroom and
so on. The whole building being split into four distinct volumes facilitates air
circulation and natural cooling while marking very clearly the use purpose of
each one. All levels are connected via 8% inclined ramps, to allow the inclusion
of disabled students or professors. The top floor of the school, yet to be
completed, will be a roof garden with grass and small trees overlooking the
mountains with recreational and pedagogical purposes. Translucent channel
glass encloses most of the classrooms, flooding it with light without distracting
the students. The main façade evokes the forest, it is an abstraction of a tree.

The school projects an image of a colorful, fluid, light and peaceful architecture,
