Project on ‘Business case through application of Six Sigma Tools’
• Prepared a comprehensive business case on a real time manufacturing scenario based on the DMAIC philosophy using Six
Sigma tools like SIPOC, cause-effect relationship, hypothesis testing, FMEA analysis, and control charts.
• Identified the root cause of the problem containing defects and reduced the number of defects associated by proposing quality
improving method. Successfully achieved increase in the customer satisfaction index of the company. Accomplished the goal
of the project by implementing DMAIC principles to perfection.

Project on ‘Design and Control Quality Systems’

Conducted capability analysis on given data, studied X-bar, R chart, and I-MR using MINITAB to find out-of-control points,
used Pareto analysis to find out 3 major contributor of defects contributing to 64% of defects, and based on 80-20 rule, it was
recommended to carry out cause and effect tool to find root cause and use P-D-C-A cycle to improve the process.

Project on ‘Development of User Interface for Best Forecasting Technique’

Developed a decision supporting system user interface using VBA and MS Excel that could help users to choose the best
forecasting method among 4 different methods (Moving Average, Exponential Smoothing, Holt’s Method and Winter’s Method)
for a given set of data based on lowest Mean Square Error (MSE).

Project on ‘Aggregate Production Planning’

Developed a user interface using VBA and Excel to choose best aggregate production strategy (comparison was done among
chase, level, mixed and flexible strategy) based on demand and production cost.
