SketchUp Activity 3

Shortcuts to remember:
Rectangle - R Key Push/Pull - P Key
Line - L Key Offset - F Key
Circle - C Key Eraser - E Key
Scale - S Key Paint Bucket - B Key
Selection Tool - Space Bar Rotate - Q Key
Move - M Key

Practice:
1. Using the Rectangle Tool draw a rectangle 48, 24. Using the Push/Pull Tool pull the rectangle UP 30 enter.
2. Using the Offset Tool make an Offset on the top of your object to the OUTSIDE 2 enter.
3. Pull the Offset you just made UP 2 enter. Then pull the middle UP 2 Enter. Erase the Rectangle left on the top.
4. The Long Side will be the front of your cabinet. Locate the Midpoint on the bottom line of the front. Using the Line
Tool draw a line UP 30 enter.
5. Now that you divided the face of your cabinet. Make an Offset on the inside of the two halves 2 Enter.
6. Pull the 2 Offsets OUT 1 enter.
7. On the top of your counter top locate the midpoint on the long side of the rectangle. Draw a line from that midpoint
to the midpoint on the opposite side.
8. Using Circle Tool locate the Midpoint on the line you just made. Draw a circle 10 enter. Erase the Dummy Line in the
Middle of the top of the cabinet. Push the Circle DOWN 8 enter.
9. Away from the Cabinet. Draw a rectangle that is 60, 30. Pull the Rectangle UP 24 enter. Draw a Line on the top from
one Midpoint to the opposite Side Midpoint.
10. Draw a Circle on the Midpoint of the line you just drew that is 13 enter. Erase the dummy line going through the circle.
11. Hit Space Bar and click on your Circle. Hit the letter S to activate the Scale Tool. Pull the Green Squares in the middle
of each end out towards the edge of the rectangle. Make sure to stop short of the edge.
12. Push the Oval down 20 enter.
13. Go to the File Tab at the top of your screen. Go down to 3D Warehouse and choose Get Models. In the Search Bar
type in the word TOILET and click Search.
14. Locate the 402077 – RA Stinson Toilet. Click on the Box with a down arrow in it. Click YES when it asks if you would
like the object loaded into your model. Then click your toilet into place.
15. Remember to Color the Cabinets. You can use Stone or Tile for the Counter Top.
16. Remember you can Rotate the Objects by highlighting them and hitting the letter Q to Rotate.
