ASSIGNMENT 2 ANSWERS

P5 Analyze research and data using appropriate tools and techniques.

The abovementioned quantitative and qualitative research was evaluated on the basis of an effective
instrument. An overview of quantitative digital technology research was provided as a result of the study.

1. Quantitative Research

Question 1: What is your gender?

- As you can see in the pie chart, most of the user of this app is male. This occur because male is often
interest in new app, new technology to help them in life. We all know men spent most of their time
for work, so they don’t have time to cook for themselves especially single men. On the other hand,
women, they often cook for themselves cause they care about their health and out look more then
men do.

P age |1
Question 2: What is your age?

- Over look of this pie chart, our main group of users is in age from 19 to 24 this age is representing
people are in university or begin to go to work. This group age is all by themselves, so they don’t have
anybody to look after them, so they use our app to help them with their diet. The other age group is
the adult groups they use this app cause they may have a problem about their health so they need
special diet or maybe they just want to have a better health so they use our app. There or a small
group of people are in teenager age use our app, this show that modern teenager today care about
their health very much so they take interest about our app.

P age |2
Question 3: Where do you usually eat?

- Most of our interviewees, they eat at home. Cause eating at home is inexpensive, healthier and
comfortable. With the compilation of our app they will have a vast choice of diet receipts for every
single meal in a day. The second choice is restaurants 33.3% choosing this because they like fancy
food, they want to be serve and maybe they don’t know how to cook. The ones that choose other
may be street food, fast food ,… these kind of food is very suitable for busy people and lazy people.
They don’t care about their health, they just want to eat something quick so they can come back to
work immediately.

P age |3
Question 4: Are you a vegan?

In our modern life, many people are tend to be a Vegan. So Vegan is a philosophy and way of living
which seeks to exclude—as far as is possible and practicable—all forms of exploitation of, and cruelty
to, animals for food, clothing or any other purpose; and by extension, promotes the development
and use of animal-free alternatives for the benefit of animals, humans and the environment. In
dietary terms it denotes the practice of dispensing with all products derived wholly or partly from
animals. Because, being a vegan is good for your health. You only eat vegetable and drink water. So
that is why the majority of our interviewees they are vegan. But still there are a lot of people still
enjoy eating meat and other dairy products. This question will help us classify whether the user is a
vegan or not so we can recommend the right diet.

P age |4
Question 5: Which one you eat more?

As you can see in the chart, meat has the most percentage. Every one love meat, so that is why most
of our choice is on meat. Vegetable come on second, this is happen cause the percentage of vegan
people are very high like on question 4. There no one choose fish, this shown that people don’t like
fish or don’t often eat fish. But there are some people choosing fruit. This is very interest, surprisingly
there are still a small part of people enjoy eating fruit more than the other.

P age |5
Question 6: What do you usually drink?

Our eyes are water and soft drink with equal votes. This indicates that it is the two most used drinks.
This is understandable because water is essential to us in our daily lives, but it is also one of the most
popular drinks in the world so it has the same number of selections as water. In addition, we also see a
very good option for health is juice, this is the percentage of healthy people, so they drink fruit juice
very often. In addition, we also have an alcoholic drink, which is full of unhealthy drinks when drinking
a lot but there are still many people who drink it regularly.

P age |6
Question 7: How often do you eat Vegetable?

In this question we can see that the frequency of people eating vegetables at their meals is usually
vegetables. we also see that no one chooses, which means that the majority of their daily meals
have some kind of vegetable. It is only the frequency of their vegetable use that is not regular but
will be scattered throughout the week's meals.

Question 8: How many calories do you eat per meal?

This graph shows that the average number of calories of more than 50 percent of the interviewees
falls between 400 and 600 calories. This is the appropriate level for every meal. This also shows that
more than half of them try to eat enough calories at each meal. The percentage chosen doesn't count,
showing that they don't care about the amount of energy in their meals, they just eat what they like
and fill them up. This has a very bad effect on their health. It can leave them with no energy or energy,
reducing the quality of life and productivity of people.

Question 9: How many meal do you eat per day?

Looking at the chart, we can see that most of the interviewees ate 3 meals a day. Next, up to 1/3 of
the interviewees only ate 2 meals a day. Most people who eat 3 meals a day are very good, it will
ensure a solid health for you. However, when you eat less than 3 meals a day you will have health
problems that you did not anticipate. If you eat more than 3 meals a day, it will be a very redundant
thing. You will have excess energy, will gain weight faster and will soon become obese.
Question 10: How often do you get a check on your health?

Most of them only go for health checks when our bodies feel unwell. In other words, we only go to the
hospital when we are sick. It is important to check every 6 months. It helps us detect diseases early in
order to prevent the spread of disease. We can see that people only have health checkups from 6
months to 1 year and for more than a year, everyone must have forgotten so they don't need to go
until they feel sick to go.
2. Qualitative research
Question 1:

The majority of people interviewed saw that there were many more features that needed to be
improved. There are still a few redundant features that few people use. This is understandable as this
is a newly released application, it needs to be developed more and more improved. So surveys like v
are essential

Question 2:

There are many compliments for the interface design, but small details such as the compliments,
encouragement, reminders of the application have motivated users. They feel very excited, and it is
interesting to experience our application. The varied and varied menu has made users feel energetic
every meal, even the elderly and children are interested in what this application has to offer.
Question 3:

There are many complaints about the application slow startup and often freeze during use. This may
be because the application is not yet compatible with all devices. The contact with a dietitian is also
frequently encountered and needs to be corrected. They need support but don't answer them or take
a long time to respond. This also shows that customers pay close attention to our application so they
give us lots of suggestions so we can improve it better.

Question 4:

There are many people with weight health problems who have come to our application. They look to
hopefully improve their health with the menu we have provided. In addition, most users use our app
to support other family members. For example, when mothers cook for family members with the
desire to have a nutritious meal, doctors need a special menu for their special patients. Many have
followed our diet and have felt a change in their bodies. They feel that their health is getting better
every day, their illnesses are also deteriorating. It's all thanks to the research tinkering of our team
that wants to bring people an app that has a positive impact on your lives.
Question 5:

Most users are satisfied with this application. The application has brought users a lot of unexpected
benefits. Some people have lost 10kg, some people have reduced obesity, some have become a
vegetarian. They were very happy about the application, and also contributed a lot of ideas so we
could develop this application to a new high plate.

Summary of quantitative research and qualitative research

Through two quantitative and qualitative surveys, we have drawn a lot of lessons learned, insights on
user behavior, what are missing from this application. The points that need to be fixed and the points
that need to be improved are used by users and commented back to the developers. In addition, the
data we collect will also be used for the research and development of this star application. They will
be kept strictly confidential and must not be used for improper purposes.

P6 Communicate appropriate recommendations as a result of research and data analysis to draw

valid and meaningful conclusions.

1. Recommendation:
My opinion is that if we want to develop and expand this platform we need to do more research.
Listen more to consumers, research new features, new technologies to apply to this project. Smart
accessories will also be integrated with this application to bring a new experience to the user.

2. Conclusion:
With the results of the above study. We still have a lot of things to do. We need to know more about
our customers' usage habits, to give them the best advice for their health. We must succeed in
changing their daily eating habits. In this way we can create new healthy societies with healthy people
both physically and mentally. We should also create small punishments or stricter reminders to ensure
that they maintain the diet we have set. Encourage them to exercise more on a more moderate
checkup.

P7 Reflect on the value of undertaking the research to meet stated objectives and own learning and
performance.

1. Lesson learnt:

I have learned a lot of useful stuff in this after studying project as I have learned how to use
google form more effectively and above all I have learned a useful tool for my learning.
Secondly, I learned how to research a health application, which helped me to gain more later
learning skills, to learn more new things from this applied research. , Further detail about this
valuable program. Next, I learned more about surveying and interviewing people, it was just a
common communication ability, but it taught me a lot. This gives me a little more experience in
surveys and interviews, I think I need to know more about this ability later on, which will be
very useful for my future work.

2. Logbook:

3. Personal performance review:

3. 1 What was the project supposed to accomplish?
