Marc Nelson Denim

Most of my time at Marc Nelson was spent updating product information on Shopify, printing barcodes, and

tagging inventory. When shipments arrived, I made sure the inventory was correct in Shopify for existing items

or created a new product page for new ones, then print barcodes and tag all the products.

2:45Tech LLC

At 2:45Tech, I was tasked with writing blog posts for the website to maximize our SEO. After publishing the

article, I would promote it on our social media platforms, Twitter, Facebook, and LinkedIn. A generous portion

of my time was spent compiling a database of whiskey distilleries for Whiskey Bent, a brand extension.
Patricia Nash Designs

Below is a snapshot of the activity and engagements for the Patricia Nash Pinterest over the first 90 days I

started working on the page. This graph shows that my work on the Pinterest account improved activity

overall by 42.8%. Before I started working on our Pinterest, it was averaging about 700 daily total audience

members. Now it averages right at 1000 a day.

All new leathers get added to the virtual archive and a swatch is added to the in-house season binders, both of

which I manage. The physical archive gives our designers the ability to feel the leather and see the print when

deciding whether to bring it back for another season. I spend a lot of time on the archives- finding bags to cut

for swatches, checking assortment plans, organizing the in-house binders, and keeping the virtual archive up

to date on Dropbox for all employees to access.

Catherine Loiret Handbags

The showroom only had two employees when I worked with Catherine- me and her. I was given a tremendous

amount of responsibility as she would leave me in the showroom alone to help guests when she ran errands.

My work included assisting guests, updating the client contact list from the past 11 years, and taking

inventory.
Pilot Travel Centers Case Study

In my Strategic Planning and Allocation course, we worked with Pilot Travel Centers to reallocate their water

and energy coolers. We were given sales data to analyze, then made educated recommendations for how to

reorganize the doors.

Bliss Boutique Case Study

My Entrepreneurship and Small Business Management course partnered with a local business, Bliss, to

conduct case studies on various parts of their business. My group chose to analyze their e-commerce

approach. We strategized how to strengthen the online store while maintaining traffic in the brick-and-mortar

locations. Along with a couple of others, my group suggested that the company hire an intern to improve their

social media presence. The business took our recommendations into account the same day and put out a job

listing for an intern.

Advanced Product Development Independent Studies

In this course, we developed products for the university to use for our campus’s 225 th anniversary. We were

given a budget and had to choose certain or design products and set the quantities. Below are the particular

items that the university chose.

Coursework

Our primary project in my Entrepreneurship and Small Business Management class was to create a business

plan. I chose to create a sustainable, fashion-forward clothing brand. This was a 32-page long plan that

explained everything from the business overview to the marketing tactics to the financial plans.
Customer Relationship Management and Retail Analytics was a course that heavily relied on analytical skills

and the use of SPSS. We were given data and were to run various SPSS tests on the data, then interpret the

results.
In my product development course, we had to complete a competitive matrix, which is shown below. We had

to create an original product and fill out a product specifications spreadsheet for our course final.
When I took Retail Buying and Merchandising, our homework problems included scenarios where we had to

find various figures (i.e., cost of goods sold, gross margin, initial markup percent, etc.) to solve the problem.

Below are some examples of my spreadsheets.
