PROJECT PERIOD: Year-Round

II. RATIONALE
As a result of the present COVID-19 issue, most educational systems have been forced to
embrace methods other than face-to-face instruction.
Distance learning has been popular in many educational systems to keep learners enrolled. For
those who don't want their children to miss out on education, remote learning has been a lifeline for
skill development while schools are closed.
While this is true, there are still concerns that distance learning has been a poor substitute for in-
person instruction, especially without universal access to infrastructure (hardware and software) and
without adequate preparation for the unique challenges that online teaching and learning pose to
teachers and learners.
A positive learning attitude might help learners overcome online learning difficulties, such as
staying focused in online classes/homeschooling or retaining appropriate motivation.
It only shows that collaboration among stakeholders is essential in the delivery of quality
education.
This proposal intends to strengthen collaboration and participation of the teachers, parents, and
learners through reorientation of their roles in continuing education.
