Title: LES project Monitoring


Date Duration: September 21, 2021
The monitoring of Livelihood Enhancement Support project (LES) under
Kalipunan ng Liping Pilipina was conducted by the three INREMP Site
Management officer (SMO) namely Mr. Jeffrey Camma, Ms. Darna Tuday and Mr.
Aldrin Bonwalon in sitio Abbigoy, Pinukpuk, Kalinga.
The activity aims to assess the LES project specially the two unit of
thresher that was given to the organization and their generating income.
The three SMO conducted interview with Ms. Erlinda Alunday, the PO
president, according to her the two unit of thresher were good in condition
and ready to use for this coming harvesting season. She also stated that
they only use their thresher during harvesting season and that is the time
that they will generate an income. She presented to us their latest income
which is recorded in their organization log book. After that, ms. Darna
Tuday told her that they can seek support such as technical and guidance in
the CENR office if ever they will encounter problems with regards to their
LES project.

Narrative Report
September 23, 2021
Saltan Watershed Management Unit (WMU) staff conducted meeting
regarding on NRM sub-project turn over activities held at Sitio Liplipuken,
Malagnat, Pinukpuk, Kalinga on September 23, 2021.
The turnover was held at the house of Mr. Nilo Tandingan the Peoples
Organization (PO) president of Basitao Pumiyaan Indigent Farm Workers
Association at exactly 10:00 AM and it was attended by 13 participants
composed of 12 males and 5 females including the WMU staff and PO members.
Before the activity started, an opening prayer was given by Ms. Josie
Gumpad FTI Focal Person. The meeting was facilitated by Ms. Helly Daowan
FTII Focal Person. In her message, she explained what is meant by turnover.
She emphasizes that after the turnover of the project, they are now
responsible for the protection and management of their established
plantation. She also clarifies to the beneficiaries that the awarded NRM
sub-project will be continuously monitored by the DENR staff even though
the project were already turned-over to the People’s Organization. So
continuous maintenance and protection shall be done.
Afterwards, the PO members appreciated the project very much because
it helps them financially and they will harvest what they have planted
after a year especially the fruit bearing trees. They are also very
thankful to all INREMP staffs for their unending guidance and support to
their association as well as the DENR family as a whole.
After which Ms. Josie Gumpad was also called for her final message.
She emphasized that even the project already turnover the PO beneficiaries
should still seek guidance and assistance support from the CENR office.
Ma’am Josie was also called for her final message.
Without additional queries, the meeting was adjourned.

Travel Report

Title: Coordination to the PO of Tawang Farmers Association with regards to


the Purchased Machineries.
Date Duration: September 24, 2021
Our aimed to this travel was to turn over the NRM project of Kalaw
Hills Farmers Irrigators Association Inc. in Allaguia, Pinukpuk, Kalinga.
Unfortunately, the PO of the said Association was unprepared and it was
postponed. However, we travelled to Tawang, Balbalan at the same day to
coordinate with the PO of Tawang Farmers Association and to monitor their
Livelihood Enhancement Support (LES). The activity was conducted by the two
SMO namely Mr. Aldrin D. Bonwalon and Glenn Baliling together with Ms.
Josie Gumpad FTI Asst. focal Person. Upon arriving at the Barangay, we
directly go to the PO president house but she was not around because she
attended a meeting at Buaya western National High school. But her husband
was their so Ma’am Josie gave him some instructions regarding to their
lacking documents of their purchased machines that they need to comply as
soon as possible. They agreed that the PO president and Ma’am Josie will go
to Tuguegarao as much as possible to process and secure their lacking and
other documents needed by their association.
We didn’t wait for the PO president because her husband told us that
she will be coming late.
