MINUTES OF THE MEETING


1. The minutes of the School Governing Council meeting is conducted on
November 10, 2023 at exactly 3:00 P.M. at the New Administration
Building
2. Six officers/members attended the meeting.
3. The agenda of the meeting are as follows:

b. Learner’s Status
c. PTA Project
d. Other concerns
4. The over-all chairperson discussed the enrollment status and data
related to enrolment. It was said that Ilongbukid NHS has 4 catchment
areas (Aripdip, Ilongbukid, Poscolon, San Florentino) and the probable
cause of decreasing number of enrollees might be the lack of school’s
facilities, the learners’ preference for SHS strand and the acceptance of
mother school outside their catchment areas.
5. She added that Project OBE, Project GOAL, Project GRASP. Supposedly,
the no. of learners enrolled in Grade 7 will be the same no. of learners
enrolled when they reach grade 8. The school’s target next school year is
to have an additional track- Caregiving and Health Care Services and the
target enrollees are out of school youth.
6. The school has 4 disadvantage learners.
7. Another concern that was discussed was the frequent absenteeism of 4Ps
beneficiaries. The school implemented the 4Ps mandate to shade learners
name whose attendance is below 80%.
8. The school has several cases of cyber-bullying.
9. The over-all chairman also discussed the PTA Project for SY 2023-2024
which is Project Siya, this aims to procure plastic chairs from the PTA
fund.
10.It was said that DRRM compliance is done every quarter. The earthquake
drill is timely conducted. However, the school’s electrical wirings were
defected as checked by the Bureau of Fire.
11. BMI was also discussed in the meeting. Gulayan sa Paaralan was
implemented to address the nutritional concerns among leaners. It was said
that the school has 8 severely waisted students.
12. Alumni Homecoming is expected to be held March 2024.
13. SGC structure was also discussed.
14. Mrs. Balume emphasized the transparency of school funds.
15. Tanod visibility was also discussed during the meeting due to the
increasing cases of learners’ misdemeanor.
16. Students’ Handbook will be distributed to teachers and students this
school year.
17. Selling of cigarettes and tabaco within 100 meters from the school were
strictly prohibited.
18. The meeting was successfully adjourned at 4:30 p.m.
